Re: Emulating p3 with winxp?

I don't think that it's possible to emulate a Pentium III under PCem. As far as I know, PCem doesn't have full Pentium II support at this time. :\

If you want Windows XP support, I suggest using a Type 2 Virtualiser such as VMware Workstation Player/Pro or VirtualBox.

Re: Matrox Mystique Rom

First of all, this isn't the place to ask for ROMs on this site. Secondly, the Matrox Mystique adapter isn't even going to make in PCem v16 or in future versons due to many problematic issues with the emulated graphics card.

Lastly, Happy Easter. :)

As far as I know is not allowing EMM386 expanded memory driver in order to run The Need for Speed SE the reason why Electronic Arts dropped MS-DOS support completely in later versions of The Need for Speed?

Re: Multi-Thread Emulation?

PCem (and its forked variants) can only emulate a single core, single threaded processor. It's not possible to emulate multiple cores or threads.

VMware and VirtualBox are capable of virtualising a guest PC with multiple CPUs as they can be treated as multiple cores/threads on the host PC.

PCem v12 is outdated and any issues related to that release won't get fixed as we're on v15 now. I'd stick with ISO less than 700 MB.

A 700 MB CD-ROM ISO supports up to 360,000 sectors at 2 KB per sector for a total of 737,280,000 bytes in which it tra...

The current PC that I'm using is barely capable of emulating a Pentium MMX processor. I'm only lucky to emulate up to a 66MHz 486DX2 with the dynamic recompiler enabled or a 66 MHz Pentium.

It was not until at least 1999 or 2000 when Pentium III came out and 32 MB to 128 MB of RAM became more common and by 2003, 256 MB to 512 MB became more comment also.
