Re: [Bug] Crash-causing bug in instruction 0x86 on x64 dynar

Lessons learned: 1. Never complain about bugs and relating them to anything about anyone 2. Never say things out of tone 3. Everything I post comes to an argument. EVERYTHING. From posting a single screenshot of a feature to complaining about personalities. All I achieve by complaining about Tom goe...

Re: [Bug] Crash-causing bug in instruction 0x86 on x64 dynar

....I just wanted a bug fixed that only happens in a development version of an operating system that Tom doesn't want to deal with.

It does not mean you have to say "HOLY SHIT DON'T USE TOMS EMULATOR OR FUCK OFF KAZBLOX" based on my criticism.

Re: [Bug] Crash-causing bug in instruction 0x86 on x64 dynar

All of the tests above so far are false positives. I have seen the 0x86 instruction truly break down in 64-bit PCem in some development versions of some software, but I have concerns (about you, @TomWalker) as I have seen quite frequent pragmatic behaviors in your development, and you only tend to c...

[r361] Num Lock issue

Machine: IBM PC XT @ 4.77mhz Video Speed: 8-bit Video adapter: CGA Drive: 360k 5.25 Dynarec?: Yes Tested with a disk of DOS 3.3 with the DOS-converted version of Astro-Dodge. (edit - removed abandonware link) PCem doesn't capture the Num Lock key, which prevents Astro-Dodge (DOS or Booter) from work...

[r361] King's Quest booter crash

The c...

Re: 3DFX compatibility list

Metal Gear Solid PC has been tested to work in PCem, despite the fps being really slow due to sacrificing frames for full-speed emulation of the Voodoo.

Edit: I think this was on a debug compile anyways

Re: BasicLinux 3.5

Rev 340 should fix this. Also to note: Grey Cat Linux (a fork of BasicLinux) keeps freezing after detecting the floppies drives for some reason. I tried a debug build of PCem, yet nothing strange showed up at all. Was booting it from FreeDOS/JemmEx with dynarec, though MS-DOS also reproduces this b...

Re: [current revisions] ATAPI/IDE handling bugs

Maybe an older NetBSD? NetBSD 4.0 works actually, but fails to install it's packages due to a mounting error. Battler conjured up some experimental private test patches to fix LBA1 CD reading, which somewhat also fixed NetBSD 4.0. The whole packages are now installable, meaning NetBSD 4 is installa...

PCem's logger didn't report errors. The last command it reported was 28, which is Read (10).

[current revisions] ATAPI/IDE handling bugs

The current ATAPI/IDE code is handled in a way that prevents some accurate CD-ROM checks from passing, causing some software not to work. OS used: NetBSD 6.1.5 Setup CD Description: I decided to install NetBSD 6.1.5 for random occasional reasons. When booting it up, it unexpectedly hit "unknown...
