Re: CD Audio in DOS Games

Did you test it with stock PCem v13.1? There was a fix on Jan 16 that fixes CD Audio, but that was later than 13.1 was released

Re: Problems with some Origin games

Rev 997 fixes Wings of Glory and Wing Commander III, might also fix Wing Commander: Armada? Thanks Sarah. Will you release new PCem verison with this fix soon? I don't like to speak for her, but... we never get an update this soon! You will need to make your own build if you want to test the new fi...

Re: A few disk bugs?

The first one is that 1.2MB images does seem to work at all, either booting a version of DOS from one or trying to install software. -Kernel86 I take you meant "it does NOT seem to work at all"? Well, I installed MS-DOS from 1.2MB disks and many games and works fine. There is some bugs with floppie...

I'm not understanding.
What do you mean by resources? You want to inject source code from other PC emulators to PCem?

I'm trying to install Wings of Glory and the installer alone is giving me trouble.
VCPI compilant? What is this? Maybe part of problem.
I'm running it from Windows 98 SE DOS, I will try to run from pure DOS later

Re: Help - PCem no romset found problem

Sure, only the EXE won't work because v13 needs some widget libraries.
Copy all v13.1 files onto a v12 working PCem. That's what I did and works

Maybe ver 13.1 has case sensitivity. Are you running the Linux version?

Re: Interstate '76 - Missing triangles

Just quick question, are you sure You got 2.4 GHz laptop? it sounds to me as it is running at 3.2 minimum. What is the model? and CPU on it? I just think You really have no clue, how fast Your CPU is runing , and assuming You got I5,I7 then 2.4 will be the base frequency. I run 2.7 GHz I5 and 233 M...

Re: CDROM on older machines

First, I'm not sure what you call "older machines" all PCem machines are more than 20 years old...
By default, PCem assigns D: to the CDROM... but that can be easily configured in the menu
For what I know, IDE controllers do not have an independent bios

PCem networking made easy

Most of us are having problem connecting the newly network card (I couldn't either).
Couldn't be easier for playing multiplayer games to emulate the "serial link" cable? Most DOS and early Windows had that kind of connection and in the host side connect both computers over WiFi

Like I said, Verilog or programming FPGA programing is very different than C, there you program 0 and 1, transistor, nothing like C. I don't think Sarah nor anyone would benefit from that FPGA code

Re: Pre-v13WIP compat list

szadycbr: that would be awesome, I'd definitely would like to have a 486/Pentium on a FPGA chip. There was this project called Flea86 https://www.fleasystems.com/flea86.html you can also find some videos on Youtube. It is now abandoned :( For what I read FPGA emulation is much limited by current pro...

Re: v13 released!

I don't have any plans to emulate nVidia stuff. Banshee/Voodoo 3 are fairly likely, along with the new recompiler. Though I'm toying with doing a smaller v14 release early in the year, with the new recompiler coming in v15 towards the end of the year. Haven't made any decision on that yet though. D...

Re: Pre-v13WIP compat list

The only way to make 1:1 behavior is to open the chip and with a powerful microscope and/or camera capture every transistor, like the guys at http://www.visual6502.org did. I believe then you can build an emulator with Verilog or VHDL
