Re: Future sound card musings
Similar to the graphics card thread, here's some notes on possible future sound card emulations. As with that thread, nothing here should be taken as a statement of intent, I'm mostly just jotting down a few thoughts. This obviously does not cover every possible sound card, just the ones I'm most l...

Banshee will be a nice addition.
May I ask if you've hooked a 2D engine to the Voodoo renderer or you did a complete overhaul ?
Personaly, I jumped from Voodoo2 to Voodoo3

Re: [Patch] Aztech Sound Cards
Hi.
Just asking here : do you use SB DSP as Asktek DSP ?
Does it means that Aztech DSP (AZT1605-U05 , AZT2316, AZT2320 ...) functions are really on par with Creative's part ?

Re: Change of HDD on several machines ... bug ?!
Good evening everyone ! Congratulations on this wonderful emulator I discovered recently. I have a small question as well as a suggestion. 1. Is it normal that when I mount a HDD from one machine to another (example a 40 MB HDD from a 386DX to a 486DX2) it is no longer recognized & it is mandat...

[BUG] PS/2 Model 30-286 memory error
Hello, I don't think this problem has been reported before (a quick search reports nothing) but IBM PS/2 Model 30-286 with 1 Mo RAM shows "error 100000 FFFE 201" (memory error) and 164 (memory size error) I tried an auto-configuration with "Starter Diskette" but result is the sam...

I've made some tests with "already made" dynamic VHD and so far your patch seems to be stable : thanks for your work.

[BUG] CLGD 5429 black screen
Hello,
it seems that after the latest commit, i've got a black screen using CLGD 5429 with whatever system board except AMI BIOSes (486 and Windows). Does it need a new BIOS ?
Regards.

Re: v15 compatibility & bug list (WIP)
I noticed a strange thing when DOS (MSDOS 6.22) is IDLE in prompt : emulation speed drops down using v15 (ie 49% with P300MMX). If I launch a game, or something else, emulation speed stay rock solid at 100%. I need to say that it's more or less the same with v14. When DOS is IDLE emulation speed dro...

About Wolf3D,in some cases (huge room with many foes) the new dynarec is slower than the old one. Test machine : AWARD 430VX, 8 Mb RAM, MACH64 GX, SB Pro v2, MS-DOS 6.22. I can go as high as P233MMX with old dynarec, no slowdowns, and just P100 with new dynarec (host : i5 4460). Just tried Wolf3D o...

[BUG] pcem crash dump when adding hard drives to some PS/1 and PS/2
Hello,
with latest source code, when I try to attach a freshly created disk to some PS/1 or PS/2 machines, PCem crashes.
Machines affected by this bug are : PS/2 model 50 (ESDI), PS/1 model 2121 (IDE), PS/2 model 55SX (ESDI). Others machines are unaffected.

One detail Banjo : many machines from that era did not have an IDE controller, so you could switch to MFM or ESDI controller / drive if you care.

Re: Error: PCI Read Configuration Failure
At first, maybe you should configure your BIOS with 1.44 Mb floppy. Based on your screenshot they are configured as 2.88 Mb.
Then after, change your CPU to an Intel DX2/66 for instance and don't use dynarec.
You should also lower guest memory to 64 Mb max.
