Issues with Voodoo3 (real hw vs pcem)
I unreasonably considered PCem to be the most accurate emulation of hardware. However, Thief II on Voodoo3 in PCEM looks like the image on the right while real Voodoo3 is on the left. No idea what to do... Same driver, same OS, same game version. Very frustrated :? https://i.ibb.co/xD0w65G/234234234...

Re: PCem 12 and slowmotion issue
The new dynamic recompiler has nothing to do with the voodoo emulation choking on DirectDraw buffer writes. There's other games that slow down for the same reason (Omikron's menu, Mechwarrior 3's menu, Urban Chaos's ripples, Metal Gear Solid's water/ninja effects) Tried older driver and it worked f...

Re: v15 & new recompiler update
Thank you for your work! I already said once, but will repeat and repeat that you are doing fascinating work, I've ever seen. With your emulator, we can enjoy old software and games the way they were back then, without any compromises.

Re: PCem 12 and slowmotion issue
Hi, just wanna to try my luck, was there any movement on this issue? Thx!SarahWalker wrote: ↑Sun 26 Feb, 2017 1:40 pm That's the most likely reason. Other possibilities are that it's idling while waiting for vsync, and it's mostly running the PCem-unfriendly Windows 9x idling code.

Re: How music is emulated in PCem (MIDI)
Yep, under dos its everything fine.
I'm trying to understand, it's a normal pc behavior or its pcem issue? Cause i cant remember such issue on my pc from 1997.
p.s. Sound Blaster AWE32 is the best sound card available in PCEM currently, right?

Well, that's a mess. Take a look:

First music test is garbage, some instruments are missing. Then i play youtube to compare and get back to setup, and now all is fine. Then i launch the game and again, instruments are missing.

How music is emulated in PCem (MIDI)
So I've selected sound blaster awe 32, installed the driver and got a weird music in my Duke Nukem 3d, where some instruments are absent. While I've got 100% emulation speed. I'm trying to understand what's going on? In emulator settings for SB32, i see "MIDI out device - Microsoft gs wavetable...

[REQ] EAX emulation?
First of all, I would like to give my thanks to developers. A true magic is happening here, with true VooDoo emulation. Only wrappers can help on modern OS's but it's not completely true, without dithering :) The second thing lost in old games on modern OS's is - EAX support. Is there any plan for i...

Can anyone explain to me how this could happen? It's not a wrapper, it's a full emulation, 1to1. It can have slow performance but not some ruined features. I don't understand.

Sound Delay [FIXED]
I just would like to ask if the sound delay is normal for PCem? I fire but sound happens half-a-second later.
And if it's not normal, where should I dig?
I'm getting 100% emulation speed.

Re: Input lag in some games
I was wrong. Everything is okay with Heretic II, only GTA 1 have input lag, both software and 3dfx versions, but only in Windows.
If you play gta win, no inpu lag there. Other dos games doest have input lag.

Hi! For now, i can say that I've got stable input lat in Heretic II and GTA 1 (3dfx), just take a look: https://youtu.be/oph5K1tVpAQ I've got 100% emulation speed and Unreal I, Quake 2-3 works perfectly. What can I be? Just once I had GTA 1 work without input lag, dunno how this happened cause other...

Re: PCem 12 and slowmotion issue
Sorry, i missed that, though it still sounds quite complex to me. Is that a problem of PCem? Or its smth complex, bad programming in thief + limits of pcem? Any chance it will be fixed in future? I read that Byzantine also have problems.

Game is almost 100% but when these hitch ups happen it drops. Then i open menu which should run perfect, but its only 33% there and horrible sound. What's the problem?

Tried 12build and its kida weird, it looks like games are working in slow motion. They are not lagging, they are in slow motion. I'm talking about System Shock 2
