So I re-installed and reconfigured. It created the cfg this time. I think my problem has something to do with a cd reading as mounted when it's not. The computer tries to boot from it and doesn't like that. Then the funny thing happens where it decides the hard drive is empty. I can't reliably recre...

Oddly, there doesn't seem to be a pcem.cfg. I just booted it up now and it is booting into dos. It wouldn't do that before, even today, and I haven't done anything different. I'm not quite sure how my problem resolved itself.

Hard drive not persistent
Hard drive is wiped on every hard reset or when pcem is terminated. Only stays intact on ctrl-alt-del. Is there an option or something I missed when I set up my machine? Do I need an ide controller rom?
