Re: [Sep 2020 ed.] PCem MSYS2 build guide (with wxWidgets)
I have compiled the latest pcem on Windows 11 following the latest guide and pcap does not show up only slirp. If I run the v17 release pcap works as intended. Am I missing something?

Bug in this phpbb forum.
For the last month or so for the life of me it keeps telling me when I'm signed in that there is a new post on [url]http://pcem-emulator.co.uk/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3232[/url] thread. It stated the last post is from Wednesday Jan 29th. 2020 at 3:32 PM by Turaltay. But when you click the pos...

Re: AMD FX-9590 and PCem
I got rid of my AMD FX chip years ago. It was great when I first got it but intel beat the crap out of it. I was only last year when I went from a 4790k to a 2700x.

Re: [Feb 2018 ed.] PCem MSYS2 build guide (with wxWidgets)
I'm compiling as ruben_balea said and works fine, but I get a compilation error at some point - I'm missing pcap.h used in ne2000.c I believe I'm missing a library I typed "pacman -Ss libpcap-dev" but didn't work. Any advice? you missed a step. double check back in the first post about np...

Re: Linux Users: Any good roms out there?
most likely it's your laptop. pcem requires a fast processor for best performance. I have a ryzen 2700x and the best I can get is maybe a 200mhz pentium. You are either running a 1.2 or 1.7ghz processor from 2012.

bug: pb570 crash with cd image loaded at start.
I am having issues with the pb570 board and a cdrom image loaded at boot. When It gets past the drive detection pcem closes if a cdrom image is loaded. If I leave it empty pcem will continue and boot normally and I can mount a cd image and use it during the session until I boot it again then it will...

Re: v15 & new recompiler update
When using pcem with the packard bell PB570 and having a cdrom enabled pcem crashes after the bios. The log just states:
Device failed to request command
I have attached a copy of my config.

Re: v15 & new recompiler update
I am having issues with the 486 Packard Bell PB410A and the new dynamic recompiler. I can't get windows 95 to install properly. I get through the first part of the install of 95 but once it reboots to the second part of the install I get a windows protection error. If I disable the dynamic recompile...

Re: Packard Bell Legend 760 Supreme (PB410A)
I just build pcem for the first time in awhile. The specified rom file is named PB410A.080337.4ABF.U25.bin but you had a commit awhile ago to make all the roms in lower case. Can you commit a change to make this rom file name in lower case as well? Thanks in advanced. Edited here: There are also sev...

Re: [Patch] VHD support
Great job on this patch. Issue I have is any vhd I create larger than 2048mb is not mountable under windows. I tried different sizes because the first one I tried was 4096mb and pcem worked fine. I installed Windows ME. When I tried mounting the vhd in windows it did not work. So I created smaller o...

Re: Sound stutters whatever the configuration
Sorry for digging up that thread, but I have the same sound stuuter problem with v13 and v14. I think the problem is only with Windows. Sound in Dos works with the same emulated machine perfect. My emulated machine is 166 Mhz MMX, 16 MB Ram, SB 16, ATI Graphics Pro Turbo (Mach64 GX), Windows 95c (t...
Re: MacOS X
also if I don't run autoreconf it builds fine as long as a chmod a+x install-sh.
Re: MacOS X
The undef worked and pcem built fine. Unfortunately I can't use autireconf -i on mac because it messes up the configuration file and it can't locate sdl2. when I run autoreconf -i I get this Jamess-Mac:pcem jznomoney$ autoreconf -i src/Makefile.am:18: warning: shell wx-config --rescomp: non-POSIX va...

Re: MacOS X
I don't think the cdrom emulation under osx works good. When I insert a cd drive it crashes out. I will attach a log and my config.
Edit: It seems like it only craps out when I have a cd mounted at boot. I will let you know If I find anything else out.

Re: MacOS X
I got it to compile by commenting out /* uint64_t cycles; */ in the task_inspect.h. There is no networking so maybe I missed something else?
Re: MacOS X
I had to chmod a+x install-sh but then I got my error above.

Bug Win95 with rtl8029AS
I don't know what happened to the rtl8029as under windows 95. Something was merged recently that has made windows 95 not boot anymore with that card. As soon as you have the driver installed under windows 95 and you restart, windows keeps going on an endless reboot. This wasn't present last month wh...
