Re: [Patch] Toshiba T1200

Hello Sorry for writting again! I found another small issue related to Hard-Ram. The Hard-Ram drive can be only accessed if There is no hard-disk installed because it uses the C drive letter. If a third party hard-disk is installed, it uses the C drive letter, and the Hard-Ram is not assigned a D or...

Re: [Patch] Toshiba T1200

I found only one small issue after applying the patch. The TEST1 utility fails (abort) when checking the memory, however the memory amount in 1MB/2MB config is correctly detected. But in the other hand CheckIt does not find any issue. The blue screen works ok. Windows 2.03 detects the EMS memory cor...

Re: [Patch] Toshiba T1200

Thanks you! The machine works!. Tested and working with the Xebec MFM controller and a 20 MB hard disk. I found two minor glitches. 1. With 1Mb configuration PCEM, not only the machine, crash during boot time. With 2Mb, starts normally, but only 640 of EMS is detected with no Hard-Ram installed. (64...

Re: [Patch] Toshiba T1200

Hello. I found a bug in the T1200 emulation. The machine does not boot and says "1-HDD & 1-FDD type". I don't know if I'm asking too much, I know a floppy version of T1200 existed with two 3.5 720kb floppy drives, and maybe it uses a different BIOS I think it can be used instead as workaround to avo...

Re: Toshiba T1200 emulation

Hello. Thank you!. The T1200 it's a very complete XT laptop and a great addition. By the way, I recently found some info i did not know earlier. I read that Toshiba T1200, among other XT based laptops, uses a hard disk contoller developed by JVC, but it's not a standard MFM/RLL XT controller. Some b...

8088/8086 machine bug with PC-DOS 2.x/3.0

Hello. I recently tested the game called Pictionary in Toshiba T1000. I found the game locks up immediately after running PICTION.EXE. Then I tested the same game with Tandy 1000 HX and SL/2. On SL/2 worked OK. First I thought it was a problem with DOS 2.11 since both machines have the same version ...

Re: Toshiba T1200 emulation

Hello. In both emulated machines Tandy 1000 HX and Toshiba T1000, I booted from ROM DOS 2.11. May be it works differently than standard DOS 2.11 Both of these DOS versions have been modified to support 3.5 720 kb floppy disks. As far as i know PC-DOS 2.0-2.11 supports only 5.25 floppys up to 360 kb ...

Toshiba T1200 emulation

Hello. First, I'd like to thanks to all the people that work on the project, those added new emulated machines and those created the guide to compile the SVN branch of PCEM. I tested Thosiba T1000 and worked ok, so far. I'd like to have T1200 emulation (if it's possible) because it has: -20 mb hard ...

I tested Jumpman again and the speed problem occurs only in PCjr the 16 color RGB and 3 voice speaker works ok.
With other machines runs at correct speed on 8088 at 4.77 mhz. CGA composite color mode work correctly too, because it has the same colors than the screenshots on Mobygames site.

Hello. First of all would like to thank for the hard work done. Its a complete PC emulator and the emulated hardware is greater than any other. The Laser XT/3 was changed to 8086 correctly. But the memory granularity was not added in any of the Laser XT machines, however the 512kb was established as the minimum, like the real hardware. Re: VTech Laser XT Series improvements

I thought i was not possible to add 1MB EMS memory support because the complexity of the algorithm required. So now it's very close to the real machine. May be some day printer emulation might be added (using some kind of passtrought, like Vdos Plus) for a complete emulation. It's an awesome work. M...

What about implementing Sharp PC 7221. According PC-Magazine from march 1988 on page 123 says the are similar, both of the had the monochrome blue screen and the same memory limit of 1.6 MB. Except the PC 7221 has a 80286 cpu running at 6,8 or 10 mhz, which may be easier to emulate. The biggest diff...

My bad, I tested the Write application of Windows 2.11 with EMS memory and it works correctly. I added STACKS=9,512 in the config.sys like Greatpsycho suggested me for the 386-SX KMX-C-02. So there is no issue with EMS memory emulation. By the way, What parameters must be used by the Chad utility in...
