Re: [Bug] Commodore SL386SX-25 garbagge in the screen

Two years have passed since this thread was opened, however, I finally found the correct hardware EMS driver for the SCAMP chipset. The hardware EMS driver detects the chip, but finds errors on all EMS memory pages. The UMB_DRVR software driver to create UMB memory crash after detecting the chip too...

[BUG] Lockup on SCAMPsx machines on win 3.1

Hello! I recently tested the Commodore SL386SX-25 and Samsung SPC6033P machines, both are 386 SX with SCAMPsx chipsets. I found a bug that randomly locks up the emulated machine when the Commodore machine is used in Windows 3.1 in enhanced mode. With the recently added SPC 6033P, PCem lock ups with ...

Re: Gravis Ultrasound test hang

Hello! This bug is, actually, old. Try to start with a clean boot disk without emm386, Qemm or any other 386 memory manager. When the cpu enters in v86 mode ,it conflicts with the setup utility when testing the SB/Roland emulation. And SBOS emulator too because when it is loaded at DOS prompt, it tr...

[Question] AMI 286 machine and EMS memory.

Hello! The emulated AMI 286 in Pcem is one of the first machines added with the generic turbo XT bios. I found the AMI 286 uses the M-209 chipset created by PC-Chips. It supports 286 cpus at 12,16 and 20 mhz. The machine has built-in support for EMS memory. It uses a Hedaka D60 designed by Add-tech....

[Question] Juko XT rom BIOS and "virtual ram"

Hello! I noticed the Juko memory counter at startup has four digits instead of three, like in the rest of XT machines. But it counts 0640kb of ram as maximum. The following question are only for emulation acuracy. Questions: 1. This emulated machine can support 1024kb? I found specific device driver...

Re: [Bug] Commodore SL386SX-25 garbagge in the screen

Hello! Thank you for these drivers!. The AVGA2 drivers are near impossible to find on the web. I will test that VESA bios. I barely managed to find The AVGA1, first I found driver disk for DOS/Win 3.0 in a Russian blog, then the AVGA 800x600 16-color Win 3.1 driver in a FTP site. and last I download...

[Bug] Commodore SL386SX-25 garbagge in the screen

Hello! I have been testing the recently added commodore SL386SX-25 machine. It is an interesting addition. The AVGA2 chip seems to be faster than the OTI-67 and Trident 8900 at 800x600 256-color resolution. However,I found some bugs I found a bug in the 800x600 256 colors video mode with the integra...

Re: v15 & new recompiler update

Hello! I recently found another bug with the Packad Bell PB410A (486). Under Windows 3.00a with Video 7 driver (800x600 256 colors) the mouse pointer appears at startup but does not respond. The serial mouse does not work and PS/2 mouse works only if the dynamic recompiler is disabled. Also the mous...

Hello!

Sorry for opening this old post, but I compiled PCEM from the last repository and the problem with EGA/VGA card not working with more that 640kb of ram on Xi 8088, Generic XT and Laser XT still persist.

Thanks in advance!

Re: [Question] 5.25 1.2mb disks on DOS 2.0?

86-DOS, before was purchased by Microsoft, was compatible with Z80 machines. I have a 86-DOS working copy with an Altair Z80 emulator that support and boots off the 8' 1S/1D disk (one side/simple density disk, 250kb). ( I don't know if 86-DOS can be distribted free now) So i think its not so strange...

[Question] 5.25 1.2mb disks on DOS 2.0?

Hello I found an old 5.25 1.2MB Basf floppy disk. The label say it is preformatted for DOS 2.0 and higher. The strange part is DOS 2.0 only can format 5.25 double density disks with one or two sides. As far I know the support for 5.25 1.2Mb disk was added in DOS 3.0, the 3.5 720kb in DOS 3.2 ans 3.5...
