You can still use the mouse to select the move action, you just have to use the keyboard afterwards to make the window move without needing to drag it.

Re: Mouse moves too fast to be useful
I don't remember if this is the right problem, but here's some ideas. First is to just reduce the mouse speed in the host system, but with or without that, there's a couple other things you could do. For DOS it should be possible to reduce the sensitivity when loading mouse drivers, and in Windows, ...

I wouldn't recommend that as I don't think anyone's actually done that before. And it would probably be annoying for someone who has other things to do than implement random machines.

Re: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
Should be fairly good. I haven't tried Pentium 2 performance but my own 3000 series Ryzen handles up to Pentium MMX acceptably, and on paper it's slightly worse than yours. Depending on your use for it, it'll probably satisfy most needs.

Re: Extracting files from PCem OS to my PC.
7zip made it so easy... I simply opened up with PCEM win95 file and could explore it and copy from it to my PC, way easier to than to mess around with images or whatever (couldn't manage extracting using images or whatever.) Anyway that's solved, thanks guys! You don't even know what it's called an...

Re: Future sound card musings
It's been said before, I think, but there's entirely no reason to incorporate MUNT into PCem when just being able to emulate midi out not only solves that issue with a more reasonable amount of effort, but also pretty much every other external midi solution both real and externally emulated. At that...

Re: Yamaha YMF7xx emulation
I don't have any readily available examples, but I know that Nintendo 64 emulation is notorious for being difficult to emulate, and low level emulation was a sort of holy grail to get a lot of games that used peculiar hardware tricks to run properly. But, yeah. As far as I know, High level emulation...

Re: Yamaha YMF7xx emulation
High Level Emulation. I don't really know quite how to put it into layman's terms but consider it like the difference between knowing an engine drives the car, and knowing the internal components of the engine that drive the car. In high level emulation you're trying to reproduce the surface level b...

Re: Game Terracide won't recognize 3d card in pcem
Well, again, the timing of the game's release suggests it was made with the original Voodoo in mind and not Voodoo2, but you at least have something to fall back on if you aren't able to get it going.

Maybe it was only compatible with the first Voodoo? In addition, if that doesn't work you could give it a shot with S3 Virge

Re: i7-3540M or i7-3632QM better for PCem performance?
PCem performance as far as I know is single threaded, so you'd be better served with stronger single core performance. They're both from the same generation so the 2 core might be the better bet for squeezing more out of it, but the difference might even be negligible. I don't know much about the i7...

I've appreciated PCem as the simple solution to a Dosbox alternative that would actually work properly with a number of things. I've always had a harder time trying to set up similar programs and came out with limited success. Here though, it seems things are a little more streamlined and the only t...

Re: PCem USB support
Yeah, but I would at least be interested in emulated USB as far as removable mass storage devices go, since that would end up being a simpler way (for me) to rapidly add or remove files from the system than I already use and probably gives me more flexibility while I'm at it.
