Re: DVD Drive Support
But thanks for the suggestion for Daemon Tools, but it wouldn't be easy to put a 7GB ISO image from the host machine into PCem.

DVD Drive Support
Is there a possibility that there's going to be support for DVD drives, so it could do DVD ISO images like DVD movies or DVD-ROM?

New hardware for PCem v18?
I've heard that the x86box emulates newer hardware including newer 3dfx Voodoo cards and Sound Blaster AWE64. I was wondering if v18 is in development.

Re: Confirmed CPUs that emulate the Pentium MMX 233 without stuttering
Prior to the release of the AMD Ryzen series of CPUs, AMD had a bad reputation because of the AMD FX series. AMD FX CPUs don't run single-threaded games at 100% in general. Valve Source titles only support single threads. AMD FX problems are about weak threads and cores. Running single thread softwa...

Re: Confirmed CPUs that emulate the Pentium MMX 233 without stuttering
Even running with Voodoo1 3D accelerators doesn't affect the emulation speed.

Confirmed CPUs that emulate the Pentium MMX 233 without stuttering
-AMD Ryzen 3 2300x @ 3.5 GHz (4 Cores) -AMD Ryzen 5 3600 @ 3.6 GHz (6 Cores) -Intel Core i5-8400 @ 2.8 GHz (6 Cores) I've tested three of these computers at Best Buy with my own flash drive just for testing purposes. My CPU is an AMD FX-6300 @ 3.5 GHz (6 Cores), but my CPU's architecture (Bulldozer)...

Re: No CD audio For Aztec Sound Galaxy
The CODEC I was using was CS4248, the "Raise CODEC interrupt on CODEC setup (needed by some drivers)" was unchecked, the SB Address was default, MIDI out devise was default, and the OPL emulator was default. As a result, no CD audio. I switched the CODED to CS4231, and checked the "Ra...

Audio CD Problem on a Packard Bell-Installed VM
I've installed Windows 95 from a Packard Bell Master CD image (which includes Packard Bell programs and drivers). I've checked out Tuneland, and I first noticed there's no sound. I realized the reason is because it's an audio CD-based game. The only sounds coming from Tuneland are the integrated one...

Re: No CD audio on Tuneland
I tested it with the Sound Blaster 16 card, and have no problems. However, now I'm having graphical issues in-game, but I can figure it out myself. Thank you. Tuneland is an audio CD based game. I've assumed it's a sound card issue. They need to fix the Aztec Sound 16 no CD audio bug for later PCem ...

Re: No CD audio on Tuneland
They are the both BIN and CUE images. The BIN runs the game with no sound with non-CD SFX. Plus, the Tuneland's extra program for listening the audio CD pops up the "Please insert the Tuneland CD-ROM and then press OK." message. The CUE image runs the CD audio and the popup message is gone...

No CD audio For Aztech Sound Galaxy
I'm having a problem running Tuneland (which is bundled with the Packard Bell Master CD btw). Most of the audio, including characters, and worst of all, the songs are missing. It's like copyright on YouTube. The sound card I'm using is not a Sound Blaster, which is a possible solution to play that g...

Re: Most affordable CPU to emulate the most powerful CPU without stutter?
I think Voodoo2 is possible to emulate without stuttering. My GPU is a XFX AMD Radeon RX 560 2GB. But most likely you're saying that Voodoo2 runs on a host CPU.

Re: [Patch] Aztech Sound Cards
There's a game I've never played before, but I would've remembered it if I was born in the late 1980s. The game was TuneLand. I haven't heard of that game until I recently got the Packard Bell Legend master CD disc image and the multimedia images. I've installed the Packard Bell OEM CD to Windows 95...

Most affordable CPU to emulate the most powerful CPU without stutter?
Several months back, I submitted a topic about compatibility on CPUs. However, I've learned that PCem only supports single threading to emulate the whole CPU. My current CPU is an AMD FX-6300, and the CPU can only support up to Pentium 75 without or a tiny bit stutters. This was because my CPU I'm c...

Make Multi-Threading Possible on Guest CPUs
I know that single threading on host CPUs are obsolete, and that PCem can only support single threading on guest CPUs. I also noticed some games only run on a single core processor including modern Source engine games. (EG. TF2, GMOD, etc.) There's many computer users who still have multi-core CPUs ...

Multi-Thread Emulation?
I've heard about the new CPU recompiler on PCem. Is it possible yet to emulate the guest CPU with not just one, but multiple cores/threads?

Re: AMD FX-9590 and PCem
I bought my gaming computer from Best Buy for $500 (which was on sale) last year in 2018, and they still sold PC's with AMD FX chips. My BIOS was from 2012 despite it was sold in 2018, and they should've discontinue the parts before 2018. I would have to get rid of the AMD FX chip when I get a new m...

Re: AMD FX-9590 and PCem
I've heard that some AMD Ryzen CPUs can handle the the MMX 233 emulation. I don't know all of their CPUs will run it. Intel CPUs have hyperthreading. What's the difference between Bulldozer chips thread performance and Intel hyperthread performance? How can Intel threads run better than AMD?

AMD FX-9590 and PCem
I currently have an AMD FX-6300 six core processor with 3.5 GHz of speed. Whenever I try to run the CPU above Pentium MMX 233 or AMD K6-III 500, it just slows down below 40% of emulation speed. I've heard the problems were because I'm using a weak CPU. Is it possible to run PCem at 100% with Pentium...
