If you were to have actual normal3x in PCem, you'd see this applied as normal6x as PCem properly emulates double-scanned VGA.

Your best bet is a OpenGL 3.0 shader preset of some kind...

I don't use a starter pack; just a stock 6.22 install + the official Creative Sound Blaster 16 floppies from 1993, which install a bunch of devices and TSRs to initialize the card and mixer. It's a little more involved than a simple SET BLASTER line.

Until I noticed I can't run the slowest MMX even in W98 desktop for some reason, which I find really odd (opening windows, navigating, etc) makes it all drop below 100%. I've already mentioned a similar bug prior to v14 (reproduced by starting a machine with a Pentium recompiler, closing back to config menu, then starting a 486)

I never said it didn't work at all. It still has Glide support, just no Direct3D HAL driver. 3rd party drivers are your only option because, well....... 3dfx closed a year before XP released :roll:

Yes via 3rd-party drivers, but don't expect Direct3D support for V2 on NT-based OSes.

Yes. PCem doesn't frameskip. That triple core Athlon II won't give you much V2 SLI action. I'd expect it to only ever do well with Pentium 75. To get V2 SLI going great you would need a relatively recent Intel Core i5-i7 @4GHz+.

Unreal runs fine (and better starting from version 218). It's your host computer that's slow and can't handle all the frames at once. Adding (actual) Pentium II emulation won't fix this for you. Perhaps there's also a generational issue with regards to performance acceptance as well, as getting 25fp...

I'd assume this is the WX mouse locking problem with the window focus, reproducible by doing this:

- open a CD-rom or shader manager window
- Tab to another window
- Close another window
- Witness your mouse get stuck in the center of the PCem window

Sam running slow on Pentium MMX is NOT a bug! There are much faster CPUs PCem doesn't emulate that Sam would also run slowly on! In addition, PCem doesn't skip frames.

Sounds like 430VX - Try going into the BIOS and enable "reset configuration data" in the PNP/PCI config screen. Sometimes that'll get around a freeze on post. A lot of the special OEM machines PCem emulates also emulates their built-in video chipsets that sometimes doesn't have separate selectable emulation or have quirks/features of their own.
