Re: Can't use General Midi
Newest build version definitely has a regression. General midi doesn't work at all. I used the regular v17 from the main site and loaded my guest PC. I loaded the setup from Duke Nukem and selected general midi and saved. There the music works. Then i load the latest build and it's silent. Can't mak...

Re: Can't use General Midi
I'm using Windows 10.
The settings button next to the audio card selection is grayed out and can't be clicked. I have no idea why. I'm using a PCEM version from 12-July-2023.

Can't use General Midi
I'm trying to change the sound device in games like DOOM and Duke Nukem but when i select general midi i don;t get any music. It doesn't complain about something missing, it just says i should hear some music and i don't. I'm emulating the Soundblaster 16. If i use same exact setup/options and hard ...

Is there a way to increase the CD Audio volume?
CD volume is already at max in the audio control panel. However, when i play any game with CD music, like Quake, the music volume is very low, even if i max it in the game options. In order to balance the audio i have to reduce the SFX volume way down. 100% of CD audio sounds as loud as about only 2...

Re: Warcraft II - Dos4gw professional error 2001
I just tried it on a Shuttle HOT-557 setup (various Pentium and RAM settings) and it would not launch in Win 95. I didn't get any error - just a crash back to desktop. I also tried it with internal cache off (disabling dynarec) but no difference. Probably some bug in PCem if it works in 86Box (or, ...

Re: Warcraft II - Dos4gw professional error 2001
And you're using the original retail CD - NOT Battle.net, right? What is the exact error message you get? You can get to DOS by going to Shutdown -> Restart in MS-DOS mode. Try running the game from DOS. The official readme.txt included with the game even says: "TROUBLESHOOTING If you are havi...

Re: Warcraft II - Dos4gw professional error 2001
The game works fine on PCem - I have it installed and just tested it. I'm using the original retail CD (unpatched) on DOS 6.22. My setup: Pentium 90 (Shuttle HOT-557) 16 MB RAM S3 ViRGE/DX Sound Blaster 16 Are you trying to run it through Windows 95 or something? Have you tried running it purely in...

Re: Warcraft II - Dos4gw professional error 2001
I also get a similar error trying to run this game on PCEm. My guest system doesn't even have more than 64MB RAM. It's a Pentium 90 paired with 16MB. I tried the same ISO with 86Box using the Windows 95 setup and specs for the guest system and it works fine. Which that tells me it's definently a PCE...

Re: PCem-vNext-Windows-MINGW64-9 not recognize Roms
Edit: I found the way to make the folder portable again and not need to use the "user" folder.
Make a ".pcem" where the exe is and put the roms, configs, etc subfolders inside (but not the exe and dlls).
