Don't forget the Sigma Designs Imaging Systems ƒ/64 (powered by the WEITEK Power 9100 graphics chip), which (apart from the ATi Mach64) is the only other way to get 4MB of VRAM recognized out of the box by OS/2 Warp.
Here's the datasheet for the WEITEK Power 9100 graphics chip.

Re: [FEATURE REQUEST] Removable Media Drive Emulation Overhaul
As a self-imposed challenge, I eject first... because on a real PC only one medium per drive can be inside.

Because that's the way a real floppy drive works.SarahWalker wrote: ↑Wed 11 Nov, 2020 3:30 pmWhy on earth would you want this?Windows9xFan wrote: ↑Wed 11 Nov, 2020 3:55 am For floppy drives, PCem should allow mounting images only when the drive is empty.

[FEATURE REQUEST] Removable Media Drive Emulation Overhaul
For floppy drives, PCem should allow mounting images only when the drive is empty.
But as for optical drives, PCem should emulate their tray states (and allow mounting/unmounting images only with the tray ejected).
Just like a real PC!

Re: Speed timings for emulated hard disks
I would like to see this feature on PCem v17!
Also, the most common HDD speeds are 3600, 7200, 10000 and 15000 RPM.

[REQUEST] Adaptec AHA-2940U SCSI Emulation
That PCI SCSI adapter from Adaptec (apparently) introduced the ability to boot from CD-ROMs.

(REQUEST) Wave Blaster and Compatible Daughterboard Emulation
The Sound Blaster 16 and Sound Blaster AWE32 need it to produce more realistic instrumental music than the on-board Yamaha OPL3 chip.

Yes, since it supports VLB.omarsis81 wrote:I have never heard of that OPTi Python chipset before!

(FEATURE REQUEST) DFI 586OP Emulation
Hello Sarah! (Formerly known as Tom?)
The title motherboard seems rare, as it had an OPTi Python chipset documented here.
However; sice PCem v13 is feature frozen, we shall save it for one of the next versions.
Thank you very much and keep up the good work!

Re: [PATCH] CD-ROM improvements
Sorry about that, but when I try to eject the CD-ROM drive on PCem with Windows 2000 installed (by right clicking the drive and choosing "Eject"), nothing happens (unlike a real PC).Battler wrote:I don't see the point, it's implied that the tray opens and closes when the disc is changed.

Re: [PATCH] CD-ROM improvements
There should be a command to open/close the emulated CD drive tray on PCem, but changing discs will be impossible if it's closed.

Regarding Award BIOS boot beep
The faster the emulated processor,
the shorter will be the Award BIOS boot beep on PCem.

Battler: Alright! Thank you.

But IIRC you created a patch to make PCem not to use the host OS date/time.SA1988 wrote:he has no interest for beta releases.

PCem finally has code to emulate Pentium processors.
TomWalker, thank you for making this program!
It's great, so keep it up.
However, it shouldn't use the host OS date/time, since beta guest OSes may not work on PCem!

Emulation of Pentium I processors!?
Are there any plans to make Pentium I processors emulable on PCem?
Sorry for requesting such a feature, but emulability of IDT WinChips is already a reality.
TomWalker, thank you for all your hard work!
It's really great, so keep it up.
