Re: PowerVR PCX 1/2 support
To be quite honest, I wasn't exactly sure of how the Voodoo is emulated the way it is, so your assertion that it's likely by hardware and programmer or API docs seems plausible to me. Which leads me to wonder if PowerVR even documented their hardware like 3Dfx did or if perhaps developers are really...

PowerVR PCX 1/2 support
Considering how we are now able to run 3Dfx titles under PCem, thanks to the inclusion of Voodoo emulation, I do wonder if adding support for either the PowerVR PCX1 or PCX2 is remotely possible? I presume it would be a similar process to how the core was extracted from a Voodoo chipset and a softwa...

Much obliged! I'll give it a shot. Is there a place you recommend to download the drivers?

Windows 3.0 and Video Adapters
Question for the crowd: What is the best video adapter to use in PCem that is considered fully supported by Windows 3.0? I know there's Windows 3.1, but I'm more interested in the slightly older 3.0 version for historical curiosity's sake. I however think I can do without the crummy VGA 16-color dis...

Re: Question about the audio
Hi Tom,
Thanks for your explanation on this point. It makes perfect sense. I'll try emulating a slower CPU, like a 486 DX2 and see what happens.

Question about the audio
Hi Tom: As always, thanks for your excellent contribution to the open-source world. I'd argue that PCem is Bochs "done right" in every way imaginable. Curious... is it possible to run the audio stream on its own thread? I'm trying to find a way to eliminate stuttering any time the emulated...

Re: Nightly builds (inofficial pcem-custom branch)
Bloody, I suggest you build your own code from Mercurial and keep the binaries to yourself. I can understand why Tom wants to not spread nightly binaries around since the dynamic recompiler is a rather new development and he wants to set the expectations as well as deliver upon a good first impressi...
