What's the most powerful CPU you can emulate without slowdowns? I guess around a Pentium 120?

Re: Windows 10 problem

There is little point in giving the results of previous versions of PCem as it progresses fairly quick and probably those Windows versions work now.

ROM files cannot be distributed here because of the copyright policy the admin maintains here.

Re: Windows 10 problem

Like I said, you are not having problems with PCem because of Windows 10.
Beware, video card ROMS go in /roms but motherboard ROM go into a particular folder inside "ROMS", e.g. for the 430VX system you need to place "55XWUQ0E.BIN" into C:\PCem\roms\430vx\55XWUQ0E.BIN

Re: Windows 10 problem

There isn't any big problems related to compatibility with Windows 10. Even Pcem v11 works with it. Paste your pcem.cfg file, to see if there is something unusual in the configuration. For what I read in his first the problem is not Windows 10 per se but ROM configuration. Later revisions after v12...

Are you running the version 12 downloaded from this page? Or you compiled it youself? Because there were many bugfixes after Feb 2017 when v12 was released

Re: 3DFX emulation

Adding SLI emulation is a major development for PCem. I have never run a PC with an SLI configuration, so I am eager to use this feature when the time comes. So, we finally DID have our surprise for v13 after all Sarah! ;) Adding SLI to PCem would seem to raise the question of buying an Intel or AM...

Re: Jagged Alliance not Install in DOS 6.22

Under plain MS-DOS 6.22 on real hard I tried with two CDROM readers and the image didn't work. It must be a bug of MS-DOS. However, I noticed the following: The two CDROM readers I have are: Sony AD-7200A (as a matter of fact: DVD reader) and Sony CRX175E. With both drives I could load the driver "A...

PCem's 10th anniversary

I believe today is the 10th anniversary of PCem!
Just a handful of emulators made it this far! I'm glad PCem is in active development, almost daily.

I downloaded the very first release and the executable is dated Aug 19, 2007, I'd take that as the first release.

So, happy birthday!

Did you select as the first bootable option the CDROM in the BIOS screen? Hit DEL when memory counts

Re: [Help] Return Fire Win95

Right, an ISO of either Windows 9x
AND a bootable floppy disk with support for CD-ROM IF the ISO is not boot capable (Windows 95 is not, but 98SE is)
Pretty much the same as a real computer if you had one back in the mid 90s

Re: [Help] Return Fire Win95

The most difficult part of getting PCem to work is finding the BIOSEs for each system you want to emulate For the 430VX mother (the most powerful for the time being) you need to get the file "55XWUQ0E.BIN" in roms/430vx We can't post links because of Copyright policy, but if you're good with Google ...
