I didn't say GF2 needs to be added to PCem. I just said that both games work fine with GF2 64mb. If we get past Voodoo2 that will be a success.
Ok, I misunderstood. Voodoo3 is very likely to be added to PCem, however, the performance is near the Voodoo2 SLI we currently have

New computer? HP Brio 8014 - Help needed

I acquired this HP Brio 8014 computer which is 430VX chipset based with a Phoenix BIOS. I think this might be a good add to PCem since there is no computer with the 430VX chipset. Is had a nice Brio splash screen ;) I know Sarah is busy with the recompiler, but is there anyone else who could make a ...

Re: 3DFX compatibility list

Can you add Serious Sam: The First Encounter (2001) and Serious Sam: The Second Encounter (2002) to the list. They work on both Win95 and Win98 with Voodoo2. The only problem is that game is very slowed down because it needs a more powerful graphic card like Nvidia GeForce2. Wow, we are light years...

Re: Speed improvement

How the emulator works, I have no idea, but you can take a look at the C code if you know something about programming. As for the speed improvement, the owner of this project said that after this current release (after Apr 20th) she will start working on that subject, but that's gonna take some time...

Does it happen on all computers? I found a similar bug on the SiS 486
It seems the low density floppy emulation is kinda buggy

Re: Are ISO+OGG (or similar) CD-ROM images supported?

I don't think PCem would support OGG, but I never tested it...
For games with Audio tracks you'll find BIN or WAV format, but not OGG. It is a very bad idea to preserve games with lossy audio tracks

Re: PCem system requirements

Btw, what are Mobile Pentium processors for? Mobile Pentium processors were designed for use in notebooks. They don't use the Socket 7 format, so in real life you can't put those Mobile processors in the current 430VX mother. I guess Sarah put them in PCem for a little more of speed, but I hope she...

Re: v14 compatibility & bug list (WIP)

Maybe should you add in the "Not bug" category "Pictionary " and "Hitman: Codename 47" (this later game has crashes with Glide, but works fine with Direct3D)

Re: [REQUEST] CD-ROM speed

I've committed a rough implementation of this to rev 1110. Seek times are a very rough model, transfer time is impacted by the existing ATAPI & SCSI emulation, but performance should be roughly correct, particularly for the lower speed drives. Thank you, thank you, thank you! However I will only wi...

Re: 3DFX emulation

Looks like Half-Life Doy, why didn't I think about that? But anyyays, question time - what's the latest game you've tested so far with PCem? For me was Hitman: Codename 47 (2000) - It has good framerate, however there are random crashes not related to PCem (it seems it works best with nVidia cards)...

Maybe because the slowness is due to the HDD reading (the slpash image is a big BMP file iirc) and the VGA has nothing to do here
