Re: v16 released!
I've mentioned it on the IDE HDD thread already, but when the game is run from a RAM drive it is flawless, like on my real Pentium 233 machine. This is a major bottleneck, and does not behave like a period correct IDE HDD drive, please fix that. So... you are playing Duke 3D on PCem on a Pentium 23...

How do you end with 7 cores?SarahWalker wrote: ↑Fri 24 Apr, 2020 7:13 amThat will most likely be with only one or two cores active though. For V2 SLI running flat out you're going to end up with 7 active threads, at which point you _will_ need to overclock!
1 for the CPU, 1 for each Voodoo2, so far I count 3 threads

As far as I know, every GPU works with PCem as everything is emulated using the CPU

Well, stock is 3.60 ghz of course it won't work, but the 9900k reaches 5.00 ghz without overclocking, so I took that 5.00 ghz as stock

Re: v16 compatibility & bug list (WIP)
for me is impossible in v16 exit fullscreen with CTRL+ALT+PAG-DOWN v14 and v15 exit fullscreen perfectly, in v16 I have to use ALT+TAB don't know why, if there is any log that I can provide I'll do it. I upgraded PCem from v15 to v16 by overwriting the older version in the same folder, the keyboard...

What is CANC?
Well, I'm in Windows 8.1 maybe that's something
An alternative to exit full screen is Alt+Tab

Re: How to connect a folder in PCem to my own Computer?
Just a heads-up... I had the same question - was looking for a quick way to transfer small file sets from host (Windows) to guest (PCem or 86box), so I came up with my own hackish solution. It requires a driver (ImDisk Virtual Disk) and doesn't take care of the other direction (guest→host), but it ...

Re: Nox Game (Westwood) Low Performance
By the year 2000 the average processor was the Pentium 3, so the emulated Pentium 1 was too outdated for that year.
You can try to run the game with the FIC motherboard and a K6-II or K6-3 but don't expect 100% emulation speed

Re: [Patch] 3dfx rendering accuracy
I found a playthrough on YouTube recorded with a Voodoo3 Think there is your problem. PCem doesn't emulate a Voodoo3. And if I remember correctly, A vodoo3 is a lot more powerful and has more features than the voodoo2 I'm not sure about the features, but a Voodoo3 2000 has the same speed than a Voo...

Intel and AMD 486
In PCem does the Intel 486 work the same as the AMD one? Here is an interesting one: Duke Nukem 3D v1.3D (latest Shareware version) If I start the game with the Intel 486 it all seems like it crashed BUT whenever I changed the processor from the Intel 486/66 to the AMD 486/66 the game runs fine. htt...
