I made a patch for mainline PCem, this issue has solved for me. Can you try this?

Re: Bug? External Midi no longer working in latest revisions

Correction: the same issue is happening with AWE32. Appears to happen at random. I've checked that my USB Midi adapter is working properly with other software such as Dosbox. Is this same with my problem? https://pcem-emulator.co.uk/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=725 If you changed to AWE32 (machine se...

Re: Bug? External Midi no longer working in latest revisions

UPDATE: This appears to be an issue with the emulated Sound Blaster 16 card because when I choose Sound Blaster AWE32 external midi works fine.

Bug? External Midi no longer working in latest revisions

My external USB Midi device (real MT-32) is no longer working in the latest revisions since v12 (I'm on commit beeaccf). I can choose USB Midi from the Sound Blaster 16 config, but it's defaulting to emulated software because I hear music through the speakers but it's not coming from the MT-32. I re...

I'm having the same issue even in version 12. Is there a workaround?

Re: PCem build guide

Can someone please tell me what I'm missing here?... I followed the instructions to the letter and I was able to get PCem.exe compiled, but when I click on it I see the PCem Configuration Manager and it won't go any further. None of the buttons work except New and Quit, and clicking on New will allo...

Re: Build instructions for MinGW?

I was able to create my own build with that guide and I have very low knowledge with programming. I had a few problems, but finally I can create my own EXE the one problem I remember I have is that in "soundopenal.c" I have to edit it every time a new release is made and change the following lines ...

Re: Disable parallel ports and COM port 2?

Still doesn't work right. The sound plays for a split second and then stops. Ultrasound works fine in DOS, just not in Windows. Oh, well.

Re: Disable parallel ports and COM port 2?

IO configurability is a bit hit and miss currently, and isn't fully implemented for most systems. What machine are you trying to use with this? You should be able to change the GUS IRQ to something above IRQ 7 to avoid this. IRQ 10 usually works okay. I'm using Award 496/497. I'll give your suggest...

Disable parallel ports and COM port 2?

Is there any way to completely disable the parallel ports and COM port 2? When I disable them in the BIOS (in any configuration) they still show as active on the POST screen and in Windows device manager. I am trying to get Gravis Ultrasound working in Windows and I think the IRQ conflicts are causi...

I'm using v11 and emulating Award SiS 496/497 for DOS; Award 430VX PCI for Windows 9x.

Mouse not found in DOS

Sometimes the mouse driver in a DOS installation will report that the serial mouse is not found and I will have to reboot the emulator until it finds it. I also see that in a Windows 9x installation that there is an exclamation point next to "Serial mouse", but the mouse still works. Is this normal ...
