And we're frozen! Thanks to everyone who's submitted patches, I'll work my way through the remaining ones over the next few days then get on with bug fixing.

Re: [PATCH] Memory patch

Accesses that cross a page should be catered for, see for example in writememll() : if (addr2 & 3) { if (!cpu_cyrix_alignment || (addr2 & 7) > 4) cycles -= timing_misaligned; if ((addr2 & 0xFFF) > 0xFFC) { /*Crossing a page here...*/ if (cr0>>31) { if (mmutranslate_write(addr2) == 0xffffffff) return...

Re: [PATCH] Memory patch

Is this something which is actually causing problems? IIRC readmem*/writemem* are already catering for the problematic misalignment cases.

Re: --config doesn't apply to nvr files

(could also be a little more convenient to find whatever.nvr first if config.whatever.nvr doesn't exist, then write to config.whatever.nvr)
This does already happen, just whatever.nvr has to be in the 'nvr\default' directory.

I'll look into the --config issue.

Re: [Patch] MIDI improvements, added MT-32, FluidSynth

Okay, rev 879 gets MIDI working again with Windows, rev 880 adds Linux MIDI output via ALSA. For the latter, add '--enable-alsa' to the ./configure command line. It currently only supports hw devices, so you'll have to use VirMIDI to use software synths. I did confirm it works with Fluidsynth at lea...

Re: [Patch] MIDI improvements, added MT-32, FluidSynth

I don't think I really want to pull MUNT and FluidSynth into PCem, they seem like the sort of thing that should be external to the emulator.

Re: linux: no network?

Hello, I just compiled PCEM today on Linux Ubuntu 17.10. At first it was a little difficult for me to understand how to compile it: the configure is in a folder, create two Makefile files, one in the same folder as configure, the other one in the src folder: configure: creating ./config.status conf...

Re: ST-412/ST-506/ESDI hard drive emulation?

The non-wxWidgets GUIs will be deleted by the end of the week. I don't intend to maintain more than one GUI. Discontinuing supports for old GUI is nice choice for now, because old GUI appeared internal IDE controller issue, and didn't solving mouse problem for Hi-DPI(above 100%) Windows user... thi...

Re: PCEM build fails when building both WX and networking

Looks like a MingW / GCC issue. A quick google search resulted in this : https://forums.wxwidgets.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=43756, which may be helpful.

Re: ST-412/ST-506/ESDI hard drive emulation?

As a workaround you could try editing the relevant configure file and setting 'hdd_controller' to 'ide'. That ought to work.

Re: ST-412/ST-506/ESDI hard drive emulation?

You have to select 'standard IDE' now in the hard disc controller section in Settings. On the wxWidgets GUI this will happen automatically when selecting an appropriate machine, I didn't update the old GUI as it's going to be deleted shortly.

Re: ST-412/ST-506/ESDI hard drive emulation?

As of rev 872 PCem now emulates a number of SCSI adapters. I felt a few notes were required : - The Longshine and Ranco adapters have few if any drivers available; I'd suggest using these for running DOS in XT machines. - Trantor T130B has drivers in NT 3.1 (and I think 3.51). There does seem to be ...

Savage4 is on my list for some point in the future, as I got given a Savage4 LT a while ago. Even I'm not mad enough to try to emulate it in the next two weeks though.

v13 feature freeze end of Friday 13th October

v13 development seems to be going on forever, so I'm giving it an end date. I'm aiming feature freeze for the end of Friday the 13th of October (thanks iwasaperson!). Any feature patches posted after then won't be considered for the release - obviously bugfixes are still welcome! That will then give...

The change to make mixer registers 0x80 and 0x81 read-only caused the SB16 DOS drivers to fail to initialise, so I left that one out.
