Re: Interstate 76 nitro pack crashes to desktop if run with glide

Failing driver installation, delete glide2x.dll from your i76 directory. It shouldn't be there normally, ever. (I can only imagine a pirate repack doing this for some "working fixed dosbox daum version" rather ignorantly)

Re: Interstate 76 nitro pack crashes to desktop if run with glide

"disable filter" and "reinstall opengl" are blind advice as they have nothing to do with the Glide driver not finding the card it's programmed for. Reinstall your Voodoo2 drivers. The error message shows the Glide2x.dll from the V1 drivers is still there and should be replaced with V2's. Delete your...

Re: Suggestion : add GUS MAX and Crystal soundcards

It's part of an early attempt at standardizing general sound specifications (think AC'97 but in '93). 48khz (as opposed to SB16's 44khz) and insistence on real OPL3 (but not always) is one big part of it. Many games do support WSS directly, though WSS's sb compatibility with some cards' emulationTSR...

CS4231's also involved with other WSS cards. The Monte Carlo mentioned in the readme is one such card with the same chip (but not yet emulated).

A XT silpheed video in the shader stuff . Re: [Linux] GUI discussion

Most "tweaked shader packages" i've seen primarily deal with recreating NTSC CRT tvs much less monitors Tweaking and sharing preferences might be close. Here's a preset which roughly approximate an early VGA monitor (from memory (gausshackh and v are just blurs\blur-gauss-*.glsl with a "* 0.08" tack...

Re: [Linux] GUI discussion

Looks nice. Could that be committed upstream too? PCem could use some shadery action... (and maybe have monitor "emulation" from it by picking a list of simulated monitors and maybe with appropriate edid emulation and the sync errors/phosphor trail buffer/fade in/color pollution) EDIT: Compiled and ...

Re: bleem! Gives BSOD on Open

ATAPI emulation at this point doesn't make any early W9X ASPI-driven PSX emulator happy. The farthest you'll get in any PSX emulation in PCem is launching the debugger on the bios in PSEmu Pro.

I know it's early at this point but your tree causes an emulator crash when booting Win95/98 with Creative's AWE32 drivers installed (1997-12-10 specifically).

You could attach patches as files in the forum posts. Thats' true. It also doesn't matter what date of AMIBIOS it is either, it's all about the motherboard itself more than that. My 10/10/94 WinBIOS '96 board doesn't work in PCem either due to a lack of umc88881 emulation

With various driver versions and regressions 3dfx themselves did among their Voodoo Graphics and Voodoo2 cards, it wouldn't be as elegant as PCSX2's compat list (or any console emulator's list) that's for sure. There's also bugs with the cards that shouldn't be known as a bug with PCem. Voodoo2 brea...

You could have simply replaced the OpenAL32.dll in PCem v12 with the OpenAL-Soft DLL. No compiling environment necessary. Not to mention I brought that up right before the flamewar In my case, just using a recent OpenAL-Soft DLL in place helped latency issues, and that's probably where that dll came from anyway (i'm still using an older GCC/MinGW) FWIW when I played with a much newer enhanced TDM GCC for debunking auto...

Re: [Bug] Warcraft 2 displays nothing

Warcraft 2 should run fine as it's only a VESA1.x game, and there has been very wide support for that (which is supposed to be helped with bundled UNIVBEs to reach the cards that have proprietary pre-VESA standards to play with them). On real hardware I've never encountered a situation where I could...
