Yep. That's nice because I have like 59 configs I use for testing, they're mostly SiS496/430VXs with different HDDs and they all need to boot fast.

Re: Descent 3 Demo Graphical Issues

I don't see graphical issues here - I just see an unfortunate decision to use the Virge for a game it doesn't have the caps for. This is obviously not the emulated Voodoo cards.

Also D3 didn't have a 1997 demo. Its earliest demo is from October 98.

Re: Pre-v13WIP compat list

Of course it's a 2D effect (Direct3D supports 2D blitting on 3dfx), and on PCem's V2 that picture wouldn't even show up (I get the desktop instead, which may be a clue that it's rendering the screen but not switched to the V2) Also i've been playing through Half-Life with a PMMX233+SBPCI128+V2SLI an...

It's a Phoenix-based BIOS and i'm fairly certain it's an EDO card IIRC.

Re: Windows 98 FE to SE upgrade crash

Was able to reproduce this on Winchip Interpreter with Virge........on an older build from 3 days ago.

Interestingly it doesn't happen with the Windows Me upgrade disc on Win98.
Doesn't seem to happen with the current tree anymore, or at least i'm not able to reproduce it again.

Re: Pre-v13WIP compat list

Yep the transparencies in Puyo Puyo 2 are now fixed.

There's still odd palette corruption when it fades in that though. It's a DirectX2 game (and the game does have a compatibility option to work around the palette bug)

Re: S3 Trio64 1mb reports as 2mb

The stock S3 Trio64 driver with Windows 98SE and also the DirectX 5-provided S3 Trio64 driver (on Windows 95).

These drivers reported 1mb back in mid-October.

EDIT: Scitech Display Doctor also erroneously reports it as a 2MB card.

S3 Trio64 1mb reports as 2mb

This must have been some sort of regression since the October commits between the 16th and Nov 1st. It'll show all the resolutions it shouldn't do and crash the emulator when you choose one of them. My BIOS is dumped from a 1mb card, so I doubt it's that... this nasty surprise came after happening t...

Re: [Request] Number Nine 9FX Motion 331 Support

Filtered YUV video acceleration and faster memory. You should be able to get away with using the 64V+ bioses at least since they're meant to be Trio64 compatible and I haven't really ran into any issues with my dumped 64V+'s bios with PCem's Trio64 emulation. (However... do not use the 64V+ drivers!)

Busy turkey day! The buffer flickering in the back when cycling menu choices is also real be...

Re: Destruction Derby for DOS slows down a lot under Windows 9x

Didn't try Derby (couldn't reproduce it earlier) but that last commit did fix up some other recompiler chokers:
Jagged Alliance
Red Alert
One Must Fall 2097
Puyo Puyo 2
STTNG A Final Unity
Warcraft II
(and probably a lot more that choked Pcem's recompiler at a static screen or miles sound systems)

It is the case. There hasn't been any more new features since the 13th of October. The last feature added was the AudioPCI. The prime focus is bugfixing and reporting to harden the release for a more stable state (which I know is a pretty alien concept in many many many many places) Note that the sp...

[Patch] Default video timing
