I've tried using tdm-gcc-5.1.0-3, and still get the crash. It's only this driver that crashes.

Re: [r361] King's Quest booter crash
Might be the cracked disk that's not playing nice. I've tested 2 versions that boots fine. Don't have the cracked one to test.
J-bird the cracked one (crack by Demonlord) doesn't boot, yet the uncracked one boots fine.
Edit: found that king quest do crash PCem. (Crc: a331a88b)

started pcem, and running Dos 6.22 (on Award 430VX PCI, Tseng ET4000AX, Mobile Pentium MMX 233, Sound Blaster Pro v2 & 128mb ram) the Percentage hover about 29-28%. At Grey Cat Linux prompt it's full speed.

I doubt it'll be an easy fix, as GCL seems to use the same code as BasicLinux. BL works, GCL doesn't.ppgrainbow wrote: The bug with Gray Cat Linux (GCL) needs to be fixed soon. I'm sure that Tom has not tested GCL at this time.

Also to note: Grey Cat Linux (a fork of BasicLinux) keeps freezing after detecting the floppies drives for some reason. I tried a debug build of PCem, yet nothing strange showed up at all. Was booting it from FreeDOS/JemmEx with dynarec, though MS-DOS also reproduces this bug too. Obviously, I'm on...

Re: 80188/80186, IBM PC/XT 286 discussion
I had an XT286, it was literally a 'mini' AT board in an XT case. Slower than hell, but back then I used it for CAD of all things because I had an 80287XL. It was an uninteresting machine, it had more in common with the clone 286 boards of the day. I thiught, from reading the interwebs, that the xt...

Something I noticed.
When you switch from an 286+ machine to a XT machine it'll be able to read any floppy. But starting an xt machine from scratch it won't read any floppy (except an 1.44M. Disk)

Where's the CS4031 emulation? As far as I know, it's the part of the ct486 driver that is found in MAME. I don't think that the CS4031 emulation has been emulated at this time. But other than that, the machine works as is. Why would you need more than 4 HDDs or even want the Bochs BIOS? Think the o...
