With whatever fixes are required... something 386SXy maybe? It's not going to be even remotely fast.
I noticed the Pi is widely used for emulation

Just out of curiosity, do you have a rough idea of what could be the maximum CPU PCem can achieve on a Raspberry Pi 3 at current stage? 386, 486/66 maybe?SarahWalker wrote:I still want to get PCem running on something ARM based at some point.

I just tested the latest build, it just doesn't work, it crashes when trying to load a config... Honestly, I don't like the new dialog screen... Just wondering... why is not like before: you open PCem, configure it the way you like, let's say a SiS 486/66 and save it to a file called "sis486.cf...

Re: Physical disk as Pcem hard disk?
The goal is using the SD card as a whole so commands like FDISK would write over the MBR of the SD card (and make partitions on that SD), SYS would make a partition bootable (writting the boot record of the partition) and so on. Hmm I believe is almost the same, anyway, reading from a SD card would...

Re: Physical disk as Pcem hard disk?
I second this request. It would make file transfer between host and guest a lot easier, but I guess it would demand heavy programing because Windows 9x would have to read a NTFS partition on the host side, something not possible I think

Re: Expanded Memory Boards for 8088/8086 machines?
Bank-switching. The board has (perhaps) 2Mb of memory divided into pages of 16k. 64k of the 8086's address space is used for a 'page frame' (usually above 0xC0000). Writing to registers on the board selects which four 16k pages appear in the frame and are visible to the 8086. Thank you JohnElliott,...

That why I said in my first post, if the 808x can only address 1 MB how do these boards work?Zup wrote:The 640k barrier is a convention, not a limit. The CPU can address up to 1 Mb, but DOS gets only the first 640 Kb (because memory above 0xA0000 is reserved).

Re: IBM PS/2
For those who want to test the model 50, you need to create the "i8550021" folder inside "roms" and there you'll need to place one or both of these files:
90x7423.zm14
90x7426.zm16
90x7423.zm14
