Ah, ok. Strange they'd keep it in the 'Trio' family. Thanks for the info :)

In any case, after getting them in and testing - one card is actually a Trio64 and the other is DOA - doesn't output video. :'( that's ebay for you...

I picked up a S3 Trio 64V2/DX (actually two by a weird circumstance), is there a major difference between this and the Trio 64+ for emulation?

Re: Future graphics card emulation

Well, I miss the Maxi Gamer Phoenix. ;) BTW why isn't there an emulation of the Onboard S3 Trio64 for Endeavor and Zappa? Owned one of them in the mid 90s when Win95 came out. Is there a difference between selecting that board + selecting the Trio64 card that is emulated vs an 'onboard trio64'? Fun...

Spent some time today and finished it (proofreading pending). Dunno if it's too much visual clutter or usefulness, but maybe country flags for each computer model's availability in the table (where applicable i.e. US/EU for Packard Bells, UK for Amstrads, but nothing at all for Xi8088/anonymous XT or so)? Just a little idea since the formatted list so far has...

Re: Translating PCEM

From a cursory glance, it seems most of the strings throughout are hard-coded within the source itself so not an easy task. How I would add translation support: you'd have to essentially create a class that would load a language file (like a giant JSON or what have you), put all of the strings from ...

Yea, why don't you just port it? It's just a few buttons, right? Copy, paste. Chop, chop. Now off to make a 'goo-ey' interface using visual basic to track down some IPs.

Yeah, that's looking good to me. I know documentation has been an issue for many people so an alternative perspective on it is good! Or alternatively I can just take the path of least resistance. https://github.com/sarah-walker-pcem/pcem Nice. :) Path of least resistance is oftentimes the best way. I also noticed you killed off the issue tracker, probably smart. I use it myself for a 'noteboard' of sorts but am not sure if there...

I have a 3700X host running a K6-2 300, 128MB RAM, V2 SLI, S3 VIRGE, SB AWE32 guest. I use Win95 with Rain installed. Perfectly? Na, there are a few apps that can cause it to slow down. However, it does work for most games without an issue. I would say it more depends on what you're trying to do wit...

I like and use Github myself, it has the option to do unlimited private repos on the free tier which the majority of mine are. If you go this route, TBF, aside from the 'general chat' board - pretty much this entire forum could be replaced with their issue tracker for bug reports and pull request sy...

Have not tried to see how far I can take PCem but I'd imagine not too much further than my old machine anyways.

Re: v15 & new recompiler update

I disagree. Pentium II covers 1998/99 gaming and most game won't work in virtual machines Not because we need accurate CPU timings, but because those game work only in Windows 9x, and I believe there are no virtualization programs for those OS. You do get with virtualization with games that run fin...

Re: Wordbasic overflow error 6 with DX processor

Virtualbox is virtual machine software, PCem is an emulator - they aren't really the same thing at all. Does this happen with real 486DX hardware? It's odd that it only happens with 486DX CPUs. This sort of thing leads me to believe that it's an actual bug with them or the recompiler (which is slate...

IMO, you'd be better off using something like VirtualBox for XP.

PCem's "max specs" is kinda low for it to be of any real use - I had XP on a real 300mhz machine and well, I couldn't actually do anything with it lol.
