Re: Combining Voodoo 3 + Voodoo 2 SLI
This won't work, you can't "combine" Voodoo cards in this way. There were switcher utilities to aid in having both V2 and V3/Banshee in the same system, but this was to switch between games running entirely on one or the other.

Re: v17 compatibility & bug list
Soft power is only currently implemented on machines implementing ACPI. To date that's the GA686BX (using PIIX4) and VA503+ (using the VIA equivalent).

Committed at 2ad5b83. I'm leaving this thread where it is in an attempt to remind me that we need to update for v17 and convert to HTML or similar before the release.

Re: Documentation revamp submission
If it can be converted to HTML then that's fine. Just want something that's readable out of the box for the end user who doesn't know what GitHub is and doesn't want to know.

Re: Documentation revamp submission
Sorry, been meaning to reply to this for a while now! In general I think this looks okay. I'm not familiar with this kind of markup though, can it be processed to a plain text file for the binary release?

Re: [BUG] A couple of issues with Manx TT Superbike in Glide
Manx TT issues are a bug with the 3dfx recompiler. Still looking into it, but turning the voodoo recompiler off should fix it, albeit there will be a hit to frame rate.

Re: v17 compatibility & bug list
e518b43 fixes Red Alert 2 and The Longest Journey, probably also the other 'trailing' bugs. I couldn't reproduce the Superbike 2001 termination, or the D3D issues with Starfleet Academy. I suspect some of the other bugs are out of date now as well.

Re: What are the ROM files?
ROM files won't do anything if there isn't code in the emulator to emulate whatever hardware the code in the ROM is trying to access. Your Matrox ROM won't work because PCem doesn't emulate any Matrox hardware.

Re: What are the ROM files?
Now.. the ROM files.. are that "just" dumps of BIOSs? Would it be possible to add any hardware if I have a BIOS files? Im thinking about Adaptec AHA-2940 SCSI controller or an old NVidia VGA card. On the manucature sites you can still find BIOS updates. Could these be used in PCem? No, be...

As I said, Windows 3.1 does not do a very good job of running DOS games.
