[Req] Mega-Turbo switch
Can PCem have any ultra-hyper-mega-turbo switch? Some emulators (i.e.: ZX Spin) have some kind of switch (in ZX Spin the hotkey is F1) that forces the emulator going crazy and execute everything as fast as it can. That could be useful for slow operations like copying or installing things from disket...

Bug? Strange behaviour with floppy images and Amstrad keys
I've got some (screwed up) disk images and I was trying to fix them. The images were 1474560 bytes long (= 80x2x18) but they were formatted as 720k (=80x2x9). To fix them (store as 737280 bytes images, same disk format as declared) I set up a ami486 machine with two disk drives. The first one was a ...

It seems it's doubling lines, producing a 320x480 lines output. Does it happen with other video cards?

Re: [SOLVED] IBM PS/1 Model 2011 not recognising hard disk.
I've been trying to make it work (I had a previous post talking about this). Can you post your ROM or instructions about how to disable Full Operating Mode, please? Nevermind, I've solved too. I haven't found how to save the BIOS using XTIDECFG.COM, so I've followed these steps: - Download XT IDE 1....

Re: Cannot access CD-ROM drive at all
Oh, I guess you're using MacOS...
BTW, the configuration of CD-ROM is below Disc -> Configure Hard Disk... on that dialog you may configure your hard disk (obviously) but also "place" your virtual CD-ROM on a specific IDE port, so you don't have to edit .cfg files manually.

Re: Extended ReadMe or PCem Hardware Documentation Project
In those computers (like that PC2086) that had only a (few) HDD model, I'd document the CHS settings. Also, keep in mind that the RLL HDD is not compatible with XT-IDE (=the computer CMOS or motherboard must not have any HDD configured). I don't know if you mean to say that the computer can have an ...

Re: Cannot access CD-ROM drive at all
Remember that nvr files changed place, maybe your old CMOS configuration has been replaced. Have you got into CMOS and verify that there are a CD-ROM configured there? Also, you can select now channel and master/slave position for your CD-ROM. If your BIOS don't support two IDE channels, you may nee...

Some issues with v11
I've been testing PCem v11 with some old configurations from v10, and I've run into some issues. - The "model" index has changed. A v10 config from a Compaq Desktop is now a 286 computer. - RAM sizes and floppy configurations also change, I don't know it that's because those configurations...

Maybe if he set up a cross-compiling environment.
The problem is that a makefile lacks the instructions needed to build some files. Maybe is he missing some libraries or there is a bug on that makefile?

Re: Help with reading disc?
It seems that you have a disc with a DOS (or Windows 16 bit) and a MacOS program. If you need to make a copy, any modern CD burner will do the job; if you need to make it work... well, you'll need an emulator or an old computer. Some things you can try: - Use it in a computer with Windows XP (32 bit...

Re: Joystick detection
The original joystick port for IBM PCs allowed two joysticks composed of two axis and two buttons, and that's the thing emulated on PCem. Some joysticks/gamepads "borrowed" connections of the second joystick to form a typical two axis/four buttons combo or even a four axis/four buttons thi...

Re: Miscellaneous bugs / what am I doing wrong?
Sorry, but I forgot to mention that these issues happens both in Windows and Linux. I usually run PCem in Windows, but I've got only the proper tools to compile on Linux (so all tests on Windows run the standard 10.1 version and the tests on Linux run a later version). About the PC2086, I use CTRL+A...

I've been trying to build some computers on vanilla 10.1, and I've run into some "features" of this emulator. Maybe they're bugs, maybe I'm doing something wrong... anyone can help? UI: Some VGA and sound cards have options to configure them. But choosing one of this cards (i.e.: a TVGA944...
