Re: Win98SE and 137GB limit
The 137GB limit comes from the BIOS, so splitting it via software would be useless. Unless it's Windows 98SE who's having the problems

Very nice job!
How did you manage with the virtual hard disks? Did you create 3 HDDs and the other IDE channel for the CDROM? All 3 hard disk with 8gb each?
Having all those game installed at once I bet Windows is beginning to slow down

8881F weirdness
I have an Epson ActionPC 2600 (486 with UMC 8881F chipset). I extracted the BIOS EPROM and dumped its content with a Mini Pro. I downloaded PCem 8 (wich I believe is the latest version that supports the 8881F) and put the recently dumped BIOS. Much to my surprise the real computer displays and EPSON...

All boards/computers additions are more than welcome!
Is it OK if I can make a patch to add this chipset and an Intel Desktop Board (Intel Premiere PCI/II) which supports it?

how about the Number Nine Imagine 128 or the Video 7 VGA 1024i. How hard would it be to add either of those graphics cards? The Nine Imagine 128 is for editing and CAD I believe and those cards are more difficult to implement, and really worthless. Besides, we all want PCem to play old games, right...

Re: Confused about creating hard drive images and sizes
Heads are NOT fixed, that's for sure. If you click in the dropdown list of fixed HDDs you will notice there are many preconfigured HDDs with different sectors. I didn't test it myself, but I bet that to achieve 127 GB you will need a LBA BIOS or an external HDD controller (I think PCem emulates SCSI...

Did the i430VX have USB support? I had one back in the day and the pads were on the PCB, but they never soldered a header on the board. I don't recall seeing USB picking up in usage until the P2/P3 eras. Yes, it does, but technically USB is on the southbridge (PIIX3) and USB support indeed begand o...

Important announcement for PCem
Just a few days ago, Apple announced that will soon start making its own processors for their desktop and laptops, those processors will be RISC based and Apple's aim is their processors to be faster than the current Intel ones. So... when the times comes, if we have an official PCem build for that ...
