Re: v13 feature freeze end of Friday 13th October
Can anyone tell me what feature freeze exactly means? I always assumed that Sarah wouldn't add any new features/bugs start of October, but it seems that this is not the case.

Re: v13 feature freeze end of Sunday 8th Octob
Great, perhaps PCem can have codenames which Sarah can put in the title bar to make sure we don't forget. I was going to put some examples here, but I am not creative enough?iwasaperson wrote:Couldn't make it just a few days later?
V13 freeze on Friday the 13th, which also happens to be in October.

The more features the emulation has over v12, the better...

Re: v12 released!
i remember that Tom was in charge of PCem before v10 (?) before you took over. Did he feel that you had more knowledge of PCs than him, or what? I saw him developing an Acorn Archimedes emulator which I already downloaded, but never got to try it out myself.

Sarah admitted that she did SCSI emulation for a different project, and maybe implementing this in PCem is the surprise.omarsis81 wrote: Can we expect a big surprise for the next release?

Actually, I got all the files now. Now I have to figure out how to change directories in the MinGW shell so that I can compile the latest source.omarsis81 wrote:What file are you needing?

I have done that in MinGW shell, but executing ~\pcem\src to change directory to the /src folder results in "~pcemsrc: command not found"szadycbr wrote:are you trying from minGW shell or windows shell? remember to set patch $ PATH=$PATH:/c/Program Files/CMake/bin

Re: PCem build guide
Thanks, but the last of the instructions, where you type $ make -f Makefile.mingw doesn't work. Does the command only apply to Linux, or does dreamer mean cmake -f?
If so, it says it is expecting a directory, not a file.

Re: v12 released!
Are there any plans to release a stable version of PCem every three months instead of yearly? It would be useful for those of us who have trouble compiling the development builds. I can't find a file I need since every web site that points to it are dead.

Re: Statement on the recent flamewar between me and Battler
You're right, what goes on between you and Battler is none of my business. But it's funny how one thread about PCem audio lag went way way off topic, and the flame war was triggered when someone mentioned 86Box, such messages which should have been posted in the 86Box forums, if there is one. Other ...

About that missing OS X port...
So a while back, you may have seen my thread asking why there was no port of PCem for OS X. Someone suggested that I should run it through Wine. I am using Wine to run emulators like VICE, EightyOne, WinUAE, and PCem; and all of them run under Wine very well. So, you might be thinking "But Kata...

Ok then, why don't you use the Phoenix S3 Trio64 with 4MB of memory? Because I don't have the Phoenix ones. As can be seen from the video, the config panel shows that I am using the Number 9FX version. Which drivers? http://www.video-drivers.com/drivers/1594/1594343.htm As per screenshot, the exact...

[BUG] Windows 95 desktop corruption with S3 Trio64
Sometimes when I boot up Windows 95 with the S3 Trio64 drivers installed, the mouse cursor is replaced by a large black square that can be moved around, the task bar is black except for the clock on the right, and no icons are visible at all. Restarting seems to have the same effect, but exiting PCe...

Re: Feature request: revamping config files
If you start PCem right away you'll automatically start the last config which was the 430vx, but let's say you want to run SiS 486... what you can do is: have the .cfg extension (or *.pcm extension if you like) associated to PCem, so you double click the "sis486.cfg" file or any other ext...

Awards do not detect floppies
On the Award 430VX PCI and Award SiS 496/497 machines, the floppy drives are not detected. I have tested five other machines (WinBIOS 486, AMI 486 clone, Mr. 386DX, Acer 386SX25/N, and Amstrad MegaPC) so I assume that non-Award ones are fine. I have no idea what's cause this, but I think that it was...

This patch just saved me from requesting this in the "Katakis's Christmas Wishlist" I plan to do at the end of the year.
Good thing, too, considering that neither A120% or DT are only available for Windows, Linux users were unable to play games using CD-Audio tracks.

Re: Feature request: revamping config files
It's precisely that - smaller dialogs with tabs, and a more orderly design in general. I think PCem would greatly benefit from such a design. So, it's similar to what you'll see when you start up WinUAE? In any case, I am all for it. I get annoyed that I sometimes saved a custom config file without...
