PCem doesn't have a MCGA card because they don't exit (as a standalone card).
Only came onboard with certain PS/2 models
You're right about not being compatible with EGA

720kb floppy and SiS 496 error
I'm not sure if it is a bug from PCem or not, but here's what I observe: Only happens with the SiS 496/497 motherboard If I select in the Configure menu a 720 disk drive and configure it as 720kb in the BIOS it gives the "Floppy disk(s) fail (40)" on the POST screen. I could just press F1 ...

Re: [BUG] NSSI hangs AMI WinBIOS 486 machine!
There was a commercial i486SX2-66, but I guess it was never widespread. Compaq used it in one of their Presarios: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fvv77yhUrVA Check 11:00 where he shows the BIOS setup. And there were people who had trouble using certain stuff due to a missing FPU: http://damnsmallli...

Re: [BUG] NSSI hangs AMI WinBIOS 486 machine!
Did we forgot about adding the 386(DX) 12MHz, 486(DX) 20 MHz and 486SX2 66MHz machine configuration...? I'm unaware of the 386/12 ever being used in a PC. I couldn't find any evidence of the 486DX/20 existing, and the 486SX2/66 is implemented, but only for AMD as they seem to be the only company th...

I have news! After many days of playing I was able to find an exact spot in the game where the game always crashes (see picture) in that spot looking at the mirror in the mission "The Massacre at Cheung Chau Fish Restaurant" As I was able to reproduce the crashing, I tested on a real Voodo...

Re: [Patch] MDSI Genius video card
Unfortunately, I don't. Also, the color difference might as well be due to different tint settings. Remember, this is NTSC we're talking about where tint is newer twice the same (hence its satyrical expansion to Never Twice the Same Color). The emulation 86Box has is based on reenigne's well-calibr...

Maniac Mansion (the enhanced version at least) as indeed support for Tandy, but clearly the guy who's reviewing Composite Mode on the youtube video I posted is showing the composite mode in CGA, as he switches from the 3 color RGB to Composite on the fly Also, I tried the Tandy version using PCem's ...

Re: DOSBox vs. PCem – What plays DOS games better/more accurate?
I agree with leilei in that DOSBox is better if you just want to play a DOS game with no fuss. PCem is more acurate in the way you run the game on a real OS (DOS or Windows 9x). PCem is quite acurate in MIPS or integer CPU benchmarks, but I believe its FPU, RAM speed and cache are a bit out of scale...

Re: [BUG] NSSI hangs AMI WinBIOS 486 machine!
You people didn't understand my point, or I expressed myself in the wrong way. Of course all current PCem support IDE! What I meant was clone 286 and 386 (by clone I mean those motherboards you purchase alone so you can assemble a PC yourself) don't have an integrated/onboard IDE interface, you'll h...

That makes you half-right

Re: PC-DOS 1.10 and PCem v12
If I'm not misunderstanding the original issue, it is not the behavior of the second side. The problem arose when placing a 160kb disk (image) on a 360kb drive and issuing the FORMAT (with no parameters, just FORMAT B:) command under IBM PC DOS 1.10. It gives an error on PCem, while I *guess* it sho...

Re: PC-DOS 1.10 and PCem v12
With no additional parameters: ie. FORMAT B: results in a successfully formatted 320 KB disk, with the /1 parameter you get a 160 KB disk. But the log of FDC commands posted by Battler definitely indicate that there were issued commands to format at least some tracks on the second side... Just for ...

Good work, Sarah and Battler, thank You. And omarsis81, do notice that this is old rgb tv, and most of the owners have "tweaked" , hue, saturation and brightness, often of every color separately, so you (WE) can not really say that someones tv is accurate. But yeah, doors on tv seems to b...
