Re: Old Mac OSs on PCEM?

Sorry to go a bit off-topic, but do you happen to know if anyone has been taking any worthwhile steps forward lately with emulating pre-PPC Macs? Last I checked (a few years back), there weren't any projects going that could properly and fully emulate the Quadras etc. (or that even really aspired t...

Re: [Patch] CD-ROM model selection

Seems this has introduced a small bug. If you enter a emulated pc, it'll see the cdrom, but iy=f you go out and then go into another emulated pc, it won' see the cdrom, the only way to bypass is to close pcem completely between switching emulated machines. tested with commit git up to commit-063a40...

But i struggle make its working with PCem 15, first loading is taking 2-3 minutes and menu is very, very slow.. gameplay is good enough, but loading takes forever and there are also some disk related freezes.. Are you emulating a fast enough machine? I have it running on a emulated 486 with Pentium...

Don't know, but you could try and recreate either my or tk421's configs, and then try and see if it work on them.

I doubt Win 7 will work on any machine that PCem emulate. According to here it needs hardware way more powerful.

Weird ram problem

Hi I'm compiling PCem on Kubuntu 18.04.02, and noticed with my self compiled version (commit 91640c0) that most systems from the 386 line and up have very restricted ram options. EG: 386 only having 16mb, 486 only having 64mb and the socket 7 cpu's only having 128mb ram. Is this a problem with my co...

You have to right click after starting the emulated machine. You can't currently select a floppy disk/CD before starting the machine
