I did request that dynamic recompiler builds are not made available (see viewtopic.php?f=3&t=85) - I know I was basically ignored but I'll restate my request anyway...

I just meant the dynamic recompiler build - while I'm not entirely happy about other development builds being available I accept that people are going to put them out.

It's quite alright. Though I personally don't understand the reason, I will respect your wishes.
The only reason I made this was because I couldn't find any bleeding-edge builds in the first place.

Bloody, I suggest you build your own code from Mercurial and keep the binaries to yourself. I can understand why Tom wants to not spread nightly binaries around since the dynamic recompiler is a rather new development and he wants to set the expectations as well as deliver upon a good first impression. Quite frankly, I don't blame him.

Will we have permission to start making nightly builds after the dynamic recompiler is ready for wide scale release? Is this just a temporary thing? Any Estimated Time of Arrivals?... Though I don't expect you to have one being so early in development and all, if you had one I would love to hear about it. I might be building myself a win98 machine right now, but I am excited that there might be a software replacement for it the day it ultimately dies. I do appreciate what you do and even though I personally am feeling a little left out being unable to compile my own code, I look forward to what is to come.

Orchidsworn you keep on asking how to compile it.

Here is PCEM from build 242 (the latest as of this posting).
It was compiled using ZummiGummi's instructions from the post mentioned above.
I just ran it to see if it worked and I haven't tested anything besides a quick boot test.
None of the Voodoo related items are tested. I don't know if it needs a Voodoo specific bios rom to work, I don't have that anyway.
Good luck and enjoy.
