Bug Win95 with rtl8029AS
Bug Win95 with rtl8029AS
I don't know what happened to the rtl8029as under windows 95. Something was merged recently that has made windows 95 not boot anymore with that card. As soon as you have the driver installed under windows 95 and you restart, windows keeps going on an endless reboot. This wasn't present last month when I built pcem. It had worked fine. I tried an older config that already had windows 95 as well as making a new machine. This is under the packard bell p570 as well as the Intel Advance/EV. Windows ME under an award 430vx restarts to with the rtl8029as inserted. When removed it works fine. I've tried with no sound card inserted and the rtl8029as and it still crashes. I hope this is enough. I'd provide a config but it happens on a lot of my configs.

It seems to be this merge

Could you post a config that reproduces this please?
Re: Bug Win95 with rtl8029AS
Here you go. Like I said it happens even when I create a new config and only when the driver is loaded in windows.
