IDE plus SCSI disks

I'm trying to "rehost" an old UNIX system from the IDE to the SCSI adapter.
(386 DX AMI machine)

Is it possible to use IDE and SCSI AHA-1542 _simultaneously_ ?

AFAIK IDE controller and AHA-1542 does not overlap I/O ports not DMA nor IRQ...

This is not currently supported; PCem's current hard disc subsystem only supports a single controller in use at a time.

just a thought...
It would be nice to have not just a "controller" but an "array of controllers" with "disk" leafs. I.e. controller[1].drive[2]
