If you can configure it as a game controller in Windows then PCem will be able to use it. I've used a wired Xbox 360 controller this way, but haven't tried anything wireless. You might need a USB cable.

According to Reddit, Playstation 4 controllers work on windows 98.

The performance was great. Tested it with Commander Keen, MAME and Nesticle. Also tested with gravutils.

Played Commander Keen on the Award 286 clone. And it picked the joystick up . Nesticle and MAME used it without any noticeable lag
