Dos Game MOTO x has garbled fonts

Hello all

I just tried the game MOTo x ( demo version a super small game from early 90's) and this is how it looks on pcem using windows 98:
(see first attachment).

In dosbox game runs fine.

I tried rebooting in dos mode the win 98 machine on pcem but the game just resets the entire pc. Any help?

You didn't mention your video card. I'm assuming Voodoo3 from the regression of EGA fonts from the VESA 3.0 BIOS extensions, so try an older video card

I have set a voodoo 2, i wouldn't even know how to set a voodoo 3 being that is not selectable

I have a s3 trio 64 dx, i tried with regular s3 trio and seems to work for now
