Hi,
i set up a P133 with Voodoo Banshee on Windows 98an testing out the performance in Quake.
Emulation Speed is always at 100% but the game slower as i expected.
In Software Mode and Timedemo Demo1 i got 35 FPS on 320x200. This is ok.
But on 640x480 i got only 6FPS and this is much too slow. It shuld be around twice as fast as i remember... Hmmmm
In GLQuake the things are more curious...
In 640x480 i should get 30+ FPS but on PCEm its only 17 FPS.
How accurate is PCEm in emulating CPUs and Voodoo cards?
Is this a problem with my setup? (i7-4790, 16GB) or may i am wrong in my memories?
Did anyone made some benchmarks on pcem and real hardware for comparision?
Thanks

Enable the recompiler on the Voodoo emulation and the timing should be much faster. You should be seeing 48.2 on P133+w98se+Banshee
