VooDoo Question
What does the "SLI" option mean?
Re: VooDoo Question
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scan-Line_Interleave
tldr: makes it act as if there's two voodoos in the machine.

Re: VooDoo Question
Hi gen_angry , hope You well, just typing this as the sentence You gave sounds weird " makes it act as if there's two voodoos in the machine" ???
IMHO it should be "makes 2 voodoo cards act as if there is one in the machine (doubling processing power)".
BTW: thank You for all Your help.

Re: VooDoo Question
It's more "Emulates two Voodoo cards and connects them"
SLI is short for scanline interleave in that it renders with the other Voodoo card every other line.
When you use SLI though, be sure to turn off screen filter! It's apparently not supposed to be on during SLI mode as i've learned (due to a sync bug with the filter on real V2 hardware, in which the v2 drivers should force the filter off)

Re: VooDoo Question
Hi!
When I enable the SLI option in the settings, I get the message:
"Failed to initialize PCI device" 3DFX Voodoo Graphics "due to insufficiently available slots"

Re: VooDoo Question
You don't have enough empty virtual PCI slots. If you're using SoundBlaster PCI, you'll need to switch to a different sound emulator.

Pick a board with more. Packard Bells aren't going to cut it
