Encountered some graphics bugs playing Re-Volt on a Win98SE machine. The loading screens in the main game are extremely distorted, and most of the graphics in the level editor seem to be replaced with a sparse dot pattern.

Software: Re-Volt (USA), matches http://redump.org/disc/58678/
OS: Windows 98 Second Edition (OEM Full) from WinWorld
Config: Shuttle HOT-557, Pentium MMX 200, S3 ViRGE/DX with Voodoo Graphics 2, Sound Blaster AWE32, using dynamic recompiler
The only thing I did before installing Re-Volt was install a driver for Voodoo 2, and DirectX 7.0a

That "dot pattern" is the ViRGE's overdrawn dither for alpha blending, so you're erroneously using the ViRGE for this game (you shouldn't!)

Oh great, thanks! Glad it's not a bug in the emulator. Do you know what video card should I use instead? Also, if it's not too much to ask, is there a good way to tell in general what video card(s) work with any given software?

Go with the Diamond Stealth 32, the Mach64 or any standard VGA card that doesn't have 3D features so it won't mess with the Voodoo
