I need some help with Autodesk 3D Studio version 4.0 I’ve downloaded from this site [Moderator : Please do NOT link to copyrighted material]
I’m trying to run this program on MS-DOS 6.22 w Windows Workgroups 3.11, but it refused to run because the SentinelPro is not plugged in. How do I bypass this error?

Re: Autodesk 3DS R4 “SentinelPro must be plugged into parallel port”
For what I read SentinelPro is a dongle attached to the parallel port and works as a copy protection device
See if there is some crack to bypass that...
It is NOT a PCem bug or error per se, it is just normal software behavior

Re: Autodesk 3DS R4 “SentinelPro must be plugged into parallel port”
Some (more than ten) years ago I used an unofficial DOSBox version patched with LPT passthrough to run a DOS program that needed a dongle. Also, I guess there must be some virtual machines that support LPT passthrough.
Even in that case, you'll need a REAL (=NOT USB) parallel port in your computer and the dongle that came with your software.
