Just a few days ago, Apple announced that will soon start making its own processors for their desktop and laptops, those processors will be RISC based and Apple's aim is their processors to be faster than the current Intel ones.
So... when the times comes, if we have an official PCem build for that Apple RISC we finally could see a huge performance boost with minor recoding (as PCem is curren compatible with RISC?)
I know it may be some years in the future, but I wanted to share it with you
What do you think Sarah? Everybody else?

Important announcement for PCem
Re: Important announcement for PCem
Well that's a very misleading topic title...
It's ARM. PCem has an ARM dynarec since v15. We'll be fine.

Re: Important announcement for PCem
What do you mean by "we'll be fine" will this new Apple chips will be helpful for PCem?
Of course we don't have any details about the processor specs, but...

ARM64 recompiler exists, but is somewhat less mature than the x86-64 one. I doubt we'll see massive performance changes between the ARM and x86 Macs for PCem.
