ACPI BIOS support?

Post by miker00lz »

Are they any BIOSes that support ACPI that work on PCem yet? I'd like to try an OS that requires it.

Even if you got a BIOS to work (like I did on PCem-X with an Award 430TX BIOS), the fact remains ACPI isn't emulated and I don't think it's currently on top of Tom's priorities to emulate it. :p

Vista is the first Windows OS that requires it.

Battler, can you let me know which BIOS that is? I can probably do the hardware implementation coding myself. What happened when you ran the BIOS? If it still runs, but just without actually having a sleep mode or shutting down properly I would be fine with this. I did try a couple 430TX BIOSes, but they all just loaded to the Award Bootblock screen and asked for a floppy disk.

I want to see Windows 7 running in PCem.
