PCEM V11 crash on Windows 8.1 Computer

PCem v11 crash on my Windows 8.1 Computer also PCem v8, PCem v8.1 PCem v9 and PCem v10.1 crash my on Windows 8.1 Computer.

why don't you use version 12? Is best in any aspect

- johnlemon647: I suspect you're using a tablet where this emulator won't really work. I suspect mainline PCem is giving you the same problem as you reported for 86Box on BetaArchive, ie. mouse failing to initialize. It's just that PCem is not showing a message box on fatal and you're using a release build so you won't see an error message, and since it's fataling before the guest RAM has initialized, it ends up crashing when trying to dump the guest RAM.

Also, it has nothing to do with the OS. Other people have successfully run PCem on Windows 8.x before, and I run PCem just fine on Windows 10. As I said above, I suspect you're using a tablet which has no mouse, and as a result, the emulator is failing at mouse initialization.

Then it's failing to initialize whatever built-in pointing device there is.

check pclog.txt to see if there's something there

I'm one of those! I run PCem on Windows 8.1 (64 bits)

pclog.txt saymouse_init : SetDataFormat failed error but my laptop build in mouse.
