PCem's 10th anniversary

Post by omarsis81 »

I believe today is the 10th anniversary of PCem!
Just a handful of emulators made it this far! I'm glad PCem is in active development, almost daily.

I downloaded the very first release and the executable is dated Aug 19, 2007, I'd take that as the first release.

So, happy birthday!

First public release was on the 15th - the build on the 19th was a bugfix. Development actually dates back to 2002 in various forms, with 'serious' development starting in early 2006. The current branch of PCem started in about May of 2007 I believe.

Still, 10 years of public releases isn't bad! Does make me feel old though.

...Perfect! A JPEG cake, so that PCem can have a byte. :)

Welcome to the PCem world BoisterousSleet75! If you have issues getting it running there is a recent thread that could help you setting up the emulator, otherwise: enjoy!
