PCem speed drops, no problems before

Post by Katakis »

I am running Windows 98 on my AMD Ryzen 5 6-core. I didn't have any problem with speed while running the operating system through elementaryOS, with the following settings:

Machine: [Socket 7] Shuttle HOT-557
CPU: Intel Pentium 120
Memory: 32MB
Display Device: S3 Virge/DX, Fast 16-bit
Device: Sound Blaster 16

The OS ran at a stable 100% using this configuration. I now switched to Linux Mint 20, which obviously was a mistake. Now the speed drops below 90%. As a result, I have choppy mouse movements and the sound stutters.

Since my host OS switch, I noticed these messages appear when I run the emulator through terminal...

Code: Select all

(pcem:10007): Gtk-WARNING **: 17:31:41.310: Theme parsing error: gtk-fallbacks.css:27:18: The :insensitive pseudo-class is deprecated. Use :disabled instead.
...over and over again.
