In PCem v17, occasional "Cannot read from drive A" messages appear when installing programs from floppy under Windows for Workgroups 3.11:
I have not been able to get similar errors to occur under pure DOS. I can reproduce this in v16 as well.

Is this a bug from PCem version 15? I saw this error message than I'm trying to insert the floppy disk a while ago.: https://pcem-emulator.co.uk/phpBB3/view ... 08&p=13272

Likely a separate issue, I just did two floppy software installs under Windows 95 OSR2 (the 5 disks for Micrografx Picture Publisher 5.0 and the 24 disks of Office 4.3c) and didn't run into that issue at all - this issue seems to only affect Windows 3.1x and some UNIXes (Possibly Windows 3.0 as well).

I saw the same problem when I was installing software from A:\ on Windows 3.11.

I've experienced the same on PCem v15 and/or v16 with AMI 486 clone and AMI WinBIOS 486 clone machines.
Re: [BUG] Disk errors when installing programs under WFW 3.11
It's probably not limited to WFW 3.11 - I had seen filesystem damage while copying large amount of data in DOS, using the DOS Navigator (and it did run flawlessly within DOSBox).
