Re: Improving the AWE32 emulation
It always bothered me that the Sound Blaster AWE32 is marked as "emulated", as it should be marked as "partially emulated" at best. To me the chorus/reverb effects are what made that sound card, without it it isn't a particularly interesting. While I understand that it may not be...

Re: [Bug] Windows 10 display scaling mouse issue
Also, grabbing the bottom right corner of the PCem window to resize it using a high resolution display is next to impossible, hence my previous suggestion of adding a status bar with resizing corner at the bottom of the PCem screen. I use 175% scaling with a 1920x1080 resolution. The bottom of the c...

Re: [Bug] Show desktop in Windows 10 crashes the emulator
Actually, this is the same bug that I've reported many times since 2015:
https://pcem-emulator.co.uk/phpBB3/view ... 2050#p2050
It is one of the main reasons why I rarely use PCem, I use the Show Desktop button A LOT and DirectDraw mode doesn't look/perform nearly as good.

Request: Intermediate beta builds
Like the title suggests, how about releasing intermediate beta builds? The development cycle for each version is a bit too long, and some of us like me who are just users wanting to test the new features don't have enough knowledge to build PCem (my programming days are way behind) so we have to wai...

Re: Mouse wheel in PCem
Maybe a wheel mouse emulation in PCem is irrelevant to you, but to me using Windows 9x without one is kind of weird since I've had a Microsoft Intellimouse like this one since it came out in 1996: http://cdn3.sbnation.com/products/large/5885/31F8EEZD6TL.jpeg So there you go, my current main request ...

Re: Settings and other UI improvement proposal
Man, a status bar wouldn't be just nice, it would be awesome. It would definitely end the problem with the window resize corner area in high resolution displays. The emulation speed percentage and/or hardware info could be moved to the status bar. And maybe later even a disk access indicator could b...

Ok, thanks for the reply. I hope to see mouse wheel support in PCem sometime, as it's especially useful when using Microsoft's multimedia reference applications, or just when using the file explorer.

Mouse wheel in PCem
Is there any way to enable a mouse scroll wheel for Windows 9x, or PCem only supports a 2 button mouse? I have installed Microsoft IntelliPoint software.
If the wheel isn't supported is it planned for future releases? Thanks.

Re: window resolution
That's a very welcome addition, thanks! Speaking of window resizing, as I mentioned before, it is quite hard to grab the window corner to resize it in high resolution displays (I use a 2k resolution desktop so the window edges are way too thin). Will you please consider adding a status bar to PCem i...

I noticed that in Windows 7, if you click the middle mouse button you can switch between real desktop and emulated desktop, but it doesn't work in Windows 8 (and probably Win 10). Re: Minor GUI visual issues
Yes, it's outdated because I haven't tested any recent official PCem build, but it was only a quick mockup to better explain my suggestions anyway. I agree, given the new changes "IDE" would be a better fit. If tabs aren't an option, using triggers (buttons, bullets, images, whatever) to m...

Options for locked windowed 4:3 aspect ratio and 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x window scaling (keeping the aspect ratio). Option to force 4:3 - absolutely yes, and for example PCem-X does that already. But I see no point in scaling. You can't scale a real monitor, so the emulator not allowing you to scale is accu...

First of all, thank you Tom for making this amazing emulator, you've been doing a great job. These are mere personal feature suggestions that I think would make PCem even better and more user friendly. Please ignore them if they don't meet PCem's design direction. Windowed 4:3 aspect ratio and windo...

AWE32 effects?
When I first read that PCem supported the Sound Blaster AWE32 sound card I was very excited because I remember it having great MIDI music due to its nice reverb and chorus effects that made the music sound more natural. However, I was disappointed when I found out that the MIDI music remains dry eve...

A counterintuitive UI nuisance not worth a new thread: When saving IMG (hard disk image) or CFG (configuration) files, only typing the name of the file without the extension will save the file without any extension. So for example in this case: http://s7.postimg.org/rzu47bn7v/hdd.png It will save a ...
