Re: New hardware for PCem v18?

Pentium 3 is more feasible as it only requires a couple of new instructions (SSE).

Re: How rip or save BIOS from PCs?

The best and most reliable way is to use an eprom programmer. That debug.com method may work in early computers and may not get you a reliable dump.

Re: PCem cassette support and register monitor

I think that with "taptools" you can create a cassette image to use in PCem, however I believe that wasn't truly x86 experience. I can't think of any game commercially released in cassette or the IBM PC

cassette format is only read only - the user who created it, JohnElliott worked on a save function but it wasn't commited by Sarah into PCem
you can read more here and get some info

EVEN if you compile PCem to work on a PowerPC it probably won't emulate a 8088@4.77 mhz
I did try to run PCem in a Pentium 4 and had terrible results

Re: How fast of a PCem CPU?

You limitation to a Pentium II 233 is expected. PCem is very demanding on the processor. I have a 4790k and I can run a Pentium MMX 200 fairly good, sometimes 233 mhz

1) The user is to find the drivers for each video card, but for the second sentence it seems you are confused with the ROMs for the video cards...
2) Pentium II @ 450 mhz in theory, but no computer can handle 100% emulation at present
3) Not sure, never tried
4) I believe Windows XP

Re: Voodoo 2 Total Memory Size?

What I DO see troubling to me is that 8mb and 12 mb both have fixed 4MB frame buffer memory (at least the Monster, Creative and all known brands). So why bother with playing with the frame buffer memory from 4 or 2mb?

I can't see where your confusion is. Indeed all Voodoos2 have 2 TMUs regard...
