Re: RFC: Organization of Src Folder
For clarity, do you want people to give the feedback here or in GitHub? This was the primary place for all things dev talk and patches before.

Re: How do I add patch files
Patch files are meant to be applied to the source code directly and not the compiled program.

Re: PCem powering real hardware video
This experiment seems relatively niche compared to what DOSBox might have run into, so I really hope it doesn't end up going that direction. Unless they pay for support and that ends up funding PCem more

I'm not the originator of this, but I saw this on Reddit and thought I'd share here. This person was able to rig things up to have PCem output over a real ISA graphics card: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5jW1dGRhmsE

Re: [Patch] Aztech Sound Cards
I actually own a copy of TuneLand. It actually says it supports the MPC standard and Windows 3.1. The game does have audio tracks, 97 of them to be precise  The included README does not make mention of requiring any specific sound cards since it mentions that the setup should take care of any a...

Re: Is there a command line for this?
With regards to what Cheez was saying, I think the project was part of the eXo set of projects. The thought was to have a base image of like Win95 and then use massive patches that were diffed from the main HDD image to "install" games on the fly. As far as I know, that got nowhere because...

Re: [Feb 2018 ed.] PCem MSYS2 build guide (with wxWidgets)
Using the `autoreconf` -> `./configure` -> `make` path is still better than using the separate makefiles Albeit there are some issues compiling on x86-64 (at least on my MSYS2 setup)

It's great to see the individual makefiles going away as the Automake script gets better and better Less things to worry about updating everytime.

Re: v15 & new recompiler update
After this newest stuff, my crappy computer can idle in Win98 at 90% instead of the 50-60% that it was pulling before. LEGO Island also runs at >85%, before it would stutter and sputter along around 50% or less. Kudos

I could imagine one reason for doing this would be easy transfer of a lot of files without setting up compatible network shares or fake CD/ZIP images to pass things in.

Can confirm the patch restores the option on an MSYS2 build. Won't show Munt when it's running, but I'll figure that one out later. Thanks again I'll have to follow up with my friend on the Linux build.

External MIDI missing?
Hey all. After a friend of mine pointed out that his build on Linux didn't have an option to select MUNT for MIDI emulation (even with the --enable-alsa flag), I checked in my MSYS2 build as well, and it's missing there too. In fact, you can't select *any* MIDI output, even the default. Was there a ...

Re: Let's discuss unicode
Would configuration files all have to be rewritten into UTF-8? It's been a while since I've seen a UTF-8 migration of any sort.
Otherwise, it sounds good that the project would be a little more futureproofed, especially if any translation work comes down the line.

Starfleet Academy Trailer crash
Hello all, I recently tried installing an old favorite of mine, Carmageddon, in a DOS 6.22 setup. After the install, it automatically plays the Starfleet Academy trailer using a player built into the disc. Unfortunately, the only thing that showed up when it tried to play was "STACK OVERFLOW&qu...
