Re: Spam issues!
one phpbb board i've been to combats spambots by renaming php files and correcting the links (i.e. potato.php) Meh, I would advise against that just because it'd be a real hassle to update. Especially in the case of security hotfixes/patches. Unless you've got a sys admin that really does not mind ...

Re: Spam issues!
I've set a limit of 20 new topics per user per day - hopefully this means that if any spammers slip through the net it should be a bit less dramatic than it was today! Which version of phpbb are you running? I haven't looked recently but last I saw, phpbb 3.1 and 3.2 had a number of anti spam exten...

Question/Feature request: if the display for this is a 'display adapter' setting for a particular type of monochrome screen adapter, any chance that someone could make a 'blue screen' option? ie: https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Mw0I2B3iDS4/WH9aZqkp5eI/AAAAAAAAQ3w/N_D75HyBLaQK3HQaJ39jjAsSK_16zQ4JACEw/s160...

Re: [Possible Bug?] Blank CGA
You are missing the MDA video adapter font (mda.rom) hence the CGA adapter isn't working properly. This also effects the Hercules, MDA, and other CGA-based video adapters (like Plantronics ColorPlus) though it doesn't effect VGA and EGA adapters. Try to put 'mda.rom' (or if you didn't have it, try ...

[Possible Bug?] Blank CGA
Hello, I am trying to create an AMI XT with an 8088 7.16Mhz CPU + CGA graphics. Using v12 stable release. When I try to boot up, all text is blank (and the cursor moves like it is doing something). However, using an ET4000 (for testing) works and all text is displayed. PCem.cfg is attached. pcem.cfg...

Sharp PC-4521 in PCem?
Hello, I am looking to re-create my very first PC for nostalgia, the Sharp PC-4521. I spent many days as an 8-10 yr old typing up basic "Hello World"-type programs in Qbasic and messing around with it, seeing what things did. Just have a question: Is there a supported 'setup' that emulates...

Probably! I don't have a system with HyperThreading so I don't know how well it performs. If you're up for it: can PM me a build and I can test it on my 6700K if you'd like, or if you know of a working guide to compile this in windows? Otherwise, I'm not 100% sure how to compile this as I'm a scrub...

This was something used in the early 2000s so it can't possibly require the full power of a modern system.

Re: PCem and FX-8350 / 8370
Depending on what you need to do with it - if you must have full win7 support and are on a budget, why not go for a Haswell second hand i5/7? They are still very capable and the IPC on them will far exceed what an FX can do. There has to be a bunch of them around from people upgrading to 2017 machin...

Probably would just require a large list of existing drive configs and a "custom string" for it? Maybe for a dropdown so a user could pick from a list of pre-defined drives or choose to build their own "custom drive". I'd be willing to try to track down or build a "list of d...

[Request] Super Socket 7/AGP
Hello,
With modern machines starting to reach the limits of what a P300-MMX can do, I am curious if there are any plans to eventually implement Super Socket 7/AGP/UDMA support?
ie: http://www.motherboard.cz/mb/epox/EP-58MVP3C-M.htm
Thank you

In any case: min specs for win98 is a 486DX/66 with 16mb ram. However, you could get the win98 machine working decently using a Pentium 75/430vx/32mb ram system or better.

Following this a bit since I am interested in making an AT machine at some point. There is a list of those disks somewhere on the forums, they vary between 10 and 40 Mb (except ESDI disks that can be bigger). Or at least, that HDD controller should allow the connection of disk types defined on IBM A...
