Yes, it is. Finding datasheets for these cards is difficult.

[REQUEST] IBM 8514/A & XGA adapters
When IBM rolled out the Personal System/2 launch models 30, 50, 60 and 80 on April 2, 1987, these models had a integrated VGA chip. When VGA was introduced, IBM also introduced another display adapter, the IBM 8514/A . The 8514/A display adapter offered 640 x 480 pixels @ 256 colours and 1024 x 768 ...

Re: Floppies don't boot on PS/1 2011
As far as I know, if I try to boot from a floppy disk by selecting drive A from the disk to read from, it will throw a "General Failure reading drive A" error. Drive B works though. If I select to boot from drive C instead of drive A, then the PS/1 Model 2011 and 2121 will ready the floppy...

Thank you for reporting this. I've also reported that the floppies don't work at all on the PS/1 Model 2121 as well.

[BUG] CGA and MDA modes do not work on Tseng ET4000
Has anyone confirmed this? There is a bug involving the emulated Tseng Labs. ET4000 on PCem. I'm using a utility that came with the emulated Tseng ET4000 card called the Diagnostic Test Program (TVDIAG.EXE), a utility that tests the ability to select VGA, EGA, CGA or MDA modes. The VGA and EGA modes...

Re: Configuration errors on model 70 type 4
I'm just curious to ask. Why does the IBM coprocessor test require bit accurate floating-point unit (FPU) emulation and what are the reasons why PCem (and its variants) will never support that feature?

That sounds like a good idea.SarahWalker wrote: ↑Tue 20 Mar, 2018 9:51 am You might also have to use a newer graphics card that supports linear frame buffers.
Does anyone have any idea which ISA and PCI graphics cards support linear frame buffers? Just curious to ask.

Re: [BUG] VGAPaint 386 doesn't like VESA modes and crashes!
Happens on real hardware - VGAPaint looks to have buggy VESA 1.x code. It works with UNIVBE loaded, though you will have to delete the INI file so you can reconfigure the video mode. Thank you very much for telling me. I'll have to go for UNIVBE instead of UNIVESA. :) EDIT: Sarah, I tried UNIVBE an...

Re: [BUG] VGAPaint 386 doesn't like VESA modes and crashes!
I get the hang on the same mode on all the Cirruses at least, on the Trio64 (which DOSBox's default is based on) and on interpreter so it doesn't seem to be Trident-specific. I'm with you on the same boat here. EDIT: VGAPaint 386 does work with a PS/2 mouse. VGAPaint 386 is broken on serial mouse a...

[BUG] VGAPaint 386 doesn't like VESA modes and crashes!
Hmm, where do I start here? Has anyone tried out VGAPaint 386 by Avery Lee? It's a 32-bit Deluxe Paint IV clone that supports graphics drivers up to 1600 x 1200 @ 8bpp: http://www.bttr-software.de/products/vp386/ I managed to install VGAPaint 386 on the second IDE hard drive on the AMI486. The progr...

Would it be possible to add support to emulate the Iomega Bermoulli Box (SCSI only) and support for tape drives (IDE and SCSI)? Re: [Patch]Memory setting patch
Speaking of the Commodore PC 30 III, when I select 1,024 KB RAM, the BIOS reports only 640 KB of memory usable. If I select 1,408 KB RAM, the BIOS will report 384 KB of extended memory usable. And at least 1,408 KB of RAM is needed to run Windows 3.0 in Standard Mode. If 1,024 KB RAM is selected, Wi...

I've hear that IBM PCs can go down to as little as just 16 KB! This is possible, however you can't use DOS with less than 64kb. Re: [Patch] CGA monochrome & selectable mono display
Monochrome VGA is simply a grayscale version of a real VGA screen. Here's a example: http://www.computernerdkev.heliohost.org/skd-4000/img/Small/P1010035,s.jpg Monochrome EGA displays can have up to 16 grayscale shades (16 colours out of 64 palette colours). It's easy job. Please let me know what machines have less than 1MB memory when it ls released. OKay! :D Most 386SX and 386DX-based motherboards had as little as 512 KB of base RAM. I believe that the Commodore PC 30 III was released in 1988 and it was configured with either 512 KB or 640 KB of RAM:...
